Question about Dynex DX-E401 Router
I hooked up my Dynex 5 port router, DX-ESW5, to my laptop and another computer but it only allows 1 to access the internet. It is not a wireless router and when both computers are connected the router status shows green for both. Could you help me out? Thanks!
Start with buying a router. The Dx-ESW5 is a 5-port switch, not a router. http://dynexproducts.com/t-faqs_dx_esw5.aspx
You could make it work, but you'd have to assign IP addresses to each of the machines connected to the Internet. For security and a number of other reasons, it's quicker and easier to just grab a router on sale at your local office supply place for $30 bucks or so.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
