Hi,i would recommend to check if the fans are filled with dirt,dust them out. This a common issue on these sets.

You have a bad main board. It is not currently available on any of the websites I use for parts. You can go to http://www.emcompass.com and put in a research request for the board. If it is available they should be able to get it for you at the best price.

tv comes on. screen is black. then makes that snowy noise like when you lose your picture, but the picture never came on. then it will shut itself off after making several clicking sounds. sometimes it will come on after a while. is it time to get a tv?

if the TV you are talking about is the DAEWOO DSJ-5510CRA.. u having a
convergence problem.. i hope this can help u in some way.

First of all boards don't leak anything. The leakage was caused by one of the projection tubes leaking its coolant. If the faulty tube wasn't repalced then you will start all over again with the same issue and cause more damage to the TV. Not only that but the loss of coolant in the tube will cause the picture to be partially out of focus (the defectinve tube that is). DVD players don't break ANY chips inside of the TV. Sounds like a repairman who doesn't know what he'she is doing and needs to exit this type of work.
