This works: Turn ps3 on. Plug the controller into the usb cable and into ps3. Then plug the dongle into other usb port. After a short time the dongle will flash quickly (this means it's in pairing mode - when the dongle flashes slowly it's too late). Press the PS/Home button as soon as you see the dongle fast flashing. All the LED's on the controller will begin to flash and after a short time one (or two) will remain solid. Immediately disconnect the charging usb lead from the controller and again the LED's will flash, push the PS/Home button again and after a short time one or two will remain solid. The controller should now be working. If the controller fails to respond repeat this process but make sure that you disconnect the dongle and reinsert (so you can see the fast flashing lights and try again).
Check that the batteries in the controller are rechargeable, as some consoles that you can buy come with different things depending on the bundle you choose. I don't have a ps3 but I do have an xbox 360 and the bundle I chose did not come with a charger kit or rechargeable batteries.
If they are rechargeable batteries have you tried them in a different ps3 controller to see if they will charge then?
try it with another controller if that doesent work then the ps3 is broken if it does then take everything back to were you bought it with receit and they will check and replace if it does work with another controller just take the controller back with receit and they will replace the controller
I had the exact same problem, but ive solved it...all you need to do, is to turn off the ps3(turn it off with your remote)...and turn it back on while using the ps3 button on the controller...It worked for me, hope it works for u 2:)...enjoy:)
hey i had my ps3 for about 8 months or so i got the message i did everything unplugged it didnt work held power button 10 seconds restarted it nothin- mine makes a weird noise and the orange light saying its loading wont turn off if it does that it pretty much means A. your hard drive is fried B. your hard drive isnt responding with system C. you turned off your ps3 while loading something and it fried it i think is what happened to me
switch the hard switch off in the back of the ps3. unplug power cord... press and hold power button located on the front f the ps3 for approx 10 secs, then let it sit for a few, then hook it back up and turn the hard switch back on and try to power it back up.
I have had this happen once before but it did return to normal.
Well your PS3 Can't connect with your TV to the Samsung, because PS3 Was made HD Blu-Ray. If your TV/Samsung is not supported by High Def. or Blu-Ray, it will not work, you will need a different HDMI Cable, and it should work fine.
Hope this Helped.
