If you still have the packaging and or manual for this web cam check with those to make sure that it is compatible with your computer. Window 7 is great with older technology but it can't always detect the right software for certain products. If the camera came with driver software try installing that often more times than not the installation software will notify you if your product is not compatible with the computer. Go to your computer's manufacturer's website or the web-cam manufacturer's website and search for the web-cam drivers for your computer model and operating system. Download the proper driver setup and run it, this will install the software for you to use the web-cam.
