SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Password problem

Hi there.

In the windows 98, start menu, and then find your way to setings, control panel. And from there passwords. Since its been a long time Since I last used a windows 98 pc I had to google the solution, here it is, copy pasted from computer hope (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000131.htm#02)

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Open the Passwords icon.
  3. Click the User Profiles tab
  4. Select the first option "All users of this PC use the same preferences and desktop settings."
  5. Reboot computer.
  6. After the computer boots up and no password was entered, reboot again to see if the changes fixed the computer.
My memory isn't so good that I would remember the things from 10 years ago exacly.

Now you can restart your computer, Once you are in now you can go back to your user accounts and reset your password, Just remember to write it down or put in a clue so you don' t for get again.

I recently had a virus on my computer. I had a friend who is a computer tech get rid of the virus but had to start my computer over from scratch. When I started downloading files and programs I noticed...

I think from what you have said is simply the problem of User Accounts. Simply Open the User Accounts option from the Control Panel and go to Make changes to your User account and simply change the name of the User account. Put your name there instead of your friend's. Actually this wasn't a problem but a feature provided by the Windows so that many users can actually work on their own account on a particular system thus protecting the data from each other. There you go. The account will now have your name. The folder with your name will be shown in the start dialog or the desktop.

1. Login to the Safe Mode and then perform the steps as mentioned in this page to resolve it.

NOTE: To login to the Safe Mode, press the F8 key at startup or whn the Computer starts.

2. Try performing the System Restore.

System Restore removes system changes that were made since the last time you remember your computer working correctly. This feature allows the user to revert crucial operating system files back to a previous recorded state. System Restore does not affect your personal data files, so you won't lose changes made to these files.

Open System Restore by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking System Restore.‌ Administrator permission required. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Or check this link to perform the System Restore.

Check this link also for more information and resolve the error message.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

ADMINISTRATOR account disabled

Boot your computer into Safe Mode. It sometimes varies, but the typical way on most WinXP

based machines is to strike the F8 key during P.O.S.T. Once the drivers load you need to

access the Command Prompt. START / ALL PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMAND

PROMPT. A new window will appear.

At command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application.

On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name and password for the account you want to be
logged on each time you start your computer.

1st try last known good configuration

if that doesn't work

then get the setup cd. start the setup and press r or enter repair console when asked. it asks for your password, login, then run chkdsk make sure it does the check even if it says the disk is marked clean. I dont remember which switch it was you can see them with chkdsk /?

Do that and try starting windows again.

If that failes do a repair install from the windows setup.
