You will need to remove the system board to gain access to the power jack. Here’s the link for the Inspiron 2200 service manual: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins2200/en/SM/index.htm

How do i boot my dell inspiron mini

The problem is most likely in the DC jack in the laptop, it works it self loose over time until there is no power or intermittent power. The only solution is to dismantle the laptop down to the motherboard level to replace the plug or resolder back in place.

I got a laptop Dell Inspiron 2200...I turn the power on and all the four (4) green lights goes on then flashes a bit a wont turn on... ANY CAN HELP ME.... Thanks

Hi,
If the the four lights on the computer come and then go off. Then these are the diagnostics lights telling that the motherboard has gone bad and needs a replacement

If they flash in some sequence . The the problem could be with one of the internal components.

Battery will not charge. The battery is new, verified on another laptop and it works fine (takes a charge). Unit works fine when connected directly to AC. The laptop is a Dell inspiron E1505. How do I...

This isn't easily done. Have you recently replaced your power adapter for any reason. I've found that some laptop batteries won't charge if the charger is just slightly different from the original one, even if it's another Dell power adapter. If you haven't replaced the power adapter recently then it may be that your female power jack isn't properly seated or soldered into the motherboard. To reseat or resolder the jack with require you do completely dismantle your laptop. If you're not confident it doing this, then don't try it yourself. Also, resoldering the jack isn't as easy as it would seem either. Before doing any dismantling, remover your battery, turn on your computer and gently wriggle the adapter around in the female jack of the computer. Does your computer shut off on you? If so, then you definitely have power jack issues. See madhattercomputers.com

Repairing power connector inspiron 2200

The connector is special to Dell, and not generally available. You may need to purchase a new power supply. The connector has 3 concentric terminals, and one is used to 'ID' the power supply as genuine DELL. A plain DC connector can be used, but the batterys will not charge.

Dell Inspiron 200 power jack

Yes if you are talking about the socket at the computer it requires old one to be desoldered and replacement part should be soldered firmly.

Good Luck
