Question about Dryers
Hi, we have a Defy Sensimatic 45 Tumble Dryer and have just bought parts from South Africa, only to find that the drum rubber "seal" also needs replacement now that we have stripped it to replace the parts. Can anyone help with where we can find this door rubber here in Australia?
SOURCE: Defy Tumble dryer not heating
Is this an electric dryer? If so, the most common problem would be a burned-out heating element. There could also be a defective temperature sensor inside. This will need to be evaluated by a qualified appliance repair technician to find the exact cause.

Below is a link that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.
Tip: Always provide the complete information provided on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the user’s manual. This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint.

take it that the belt is ok and the drum is turning. The heater comes
with thermostats fitted as a complete part. There is an overload safety
thermostat which is situated inside the drum and above the door,it is
held in place with a self tapping screw then prise open the plastic
cover and then the thermostat will pull out,if replacing remember to
refit the small gasket.Have you checked the filters and exhaust hose for
any blockages as this will affect the heating.
Hope this helps
