Can't get pic back on my Lap top after using nvidia & ext monitor
Used Nvidia to utilize External Monitor, Now I can't get anything on my lap top screen, I'm SCREWED! It only has the option of the 2207 Hp monitor when you look for displays... Don't know what else to do. Originally it had the option of HP2207 + lap top display, clone, or one or the other, that's how I got it that way in the beginning! The fn F4 hot keys wouldn't work, that's why I went into the nvidia setting (with guidance from the Hp support people)... now they won't help me get it back, because I'm out of warrantee. If I can get it back I'll set it up to clone so I don't run into this problem again.
p.s. he had me download the most recent of all the drivers (I have the GeForce 7600 something Nvidia.

If you have an external monitor with VGA interface and you have a VGA monitor cable then should simply plug it into the netbook VGA socket and reboot. The monitor should then start up and can be used as a screen. If you are using Windows then you can right click mouse on screen to select display properties and configure the resolution and profile of the setup.
power on laptop keep tapping F8 then select last known good configuration. if fails then boot in safe mode then uninstall then reinstall video driver. if fails then connect laptop to an external monitor check if the display is purple from the ext monitor then if yes this might replace motherboard if not then LCD is the problem.
Are you sure it's just the monitor, can you hear the Windows sound prompt when it starts? If you have an external monitor, connect it and see if the machine works properly, or if it's not starting at all. Try the external, get back to me, and we'll go from there.
