Re: Screen and sound interefernce until warm up

The tuner or related circuits have a problem, the simple one will be that the grounds in the tuner are loose the other posibility is the tuner itself is doing this, make sure the conector were you screw the cable is tight ,if the conector itself is loose it can give you problems too,if you are familiar with tv service and you can solder electronic parts then is something you can do but if you are not too familiar you should call for assistance from a servicer or just dont use the tuner imput and use your vcr to change the channels.Let Us know if you need more information.

Screen stays blue and wont show the picture

TV may be on the wrong input and that will give you a blue screen. When you turn the TV on and the screen starts lighting up it should show on the screen what input the tv is on. If it is not on correct input change input with the TV remote or buttons on the tv. If it is on the correct input try a power cycle on the cable box, just unplug the cable box power cord for a few seconds and then plug it back in. If neither of these solve the problem describe how the cable box is connected to the tv.

Wd65738 blue screen

blue screen means no video signal, if the source is on hdmi ensure the cable is rca or in simple audio video jacks which u will have to connect in the dvi input of the tv reason is hdmi means high definition interface and transmits by hdcp like the data of an internet meaning its digital platform which the tv can only process thru the dvi inputs or component y,p,b

My Sony Projection tv is HD ready, but when I connect the cables from the HD receiver, I have a black screen. Thank you Kevin Davis

With so little information I will have to make alot of assumptions to help you. Are you hooking up a HDMI cable? If so it is straight forward. Plug one end into the HDMI connection on the receiver and the other into a HDMI port on the TV. Note the port designation (HDMI 1 or 2). Enter the menu on the TV and change the input to the proper HDMI input. This should make the unit work.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

I had to unplug my cable/tv last night and when I turned it on this morning I could not get the menu to display the cable accept on the menu screen. I went in to turn off the home theater and the cable...

Push the menu button and enter 1370 and push enter and the tv picture will appear on the screen. If it does not push the input button until the picture appears.

Auto sensor finding wrong inputs, cant find good component signal

as any new technology TV as yours. your tv has a microcomputer (kind of mother board) that is not detecting your video inputs or any information to control. The initial set up cannot finish and there it go the answer: you have a blue screen or green with the bars (of course this is another area but still related with the control of video that it is another funtion af the main board). So the outside of the tv is ok now because you made many actions directed to troubleshoot conections, and there are fine, but the problem isn't there this problem is at the board level of the tv. technician is needed.

No picture no sound

Make sure you are selecting the correct input on your TV for your TV tuner, sat or cable box.

There are three ways to do this:

1. With the tuner or cable box turned on (you can do that manually or with its remote) use the TV's remote to cycle through all the inputs, until you find the correct one and take note of the name of the input that appears on screen, or

2. Look at the back of the TV and see where it is connected. It will say the name of the input, such as "HDMI1" or "AV2," etc. Then select that input on your TV with the cable or sat tuner turned on, if you have one.

Consult your TV's owner's manual, which will give more information on hookup and selection.

Hope this helps. :)

TV turns on, but no sound or picture from any of the inputs

I don't know if I had any lightning, but it is possible because my DVR/Cable box was operating on limited capacity right before this started. I unplugged everything to reset the DVC/Cable box, and when I turned the tv on, I got real tv sound for a few seconds and then a "no signal" message in the center of the screen. This happens every time I turn it on. It is not the DVR/Cable box because I hooked it up to another tv and it works fine. It's not a bulb because I would still get this other person, none of my inputs will pick up the cable. I really don't want to just have a random service person in here to charge me to figure it out if someone can lead me down the right path to getting it fixed. Please help, I love this tv and don't want to replace it. LH
