Question about Canon i860 InkJet Photo Printer

Does Anyone know how to test Canon i860 AC Adapter??

Hi, We accidentally used our Canon i860 printer (rated for US 120V use) with the wrong step dowh transformer here in Australia. Now the printer would not work, not even power up. I was wondering if its the AC adapter that is gone. Does anyone know how to test if the AC adapter is working? Thanks.

Yes I know. put the adapter into the plug and switch on, and put the another side in a glass which contains water, then you can observe water avaporate or not. If water avaporate it is working otherwise it is not working. Just try and send me reply

You need a step down AC transformer 240V to 120V then you can connect the shaver to the 120V outlet. You do not need to worry about the frequency.

Large black ink tank is not being used by the printer.

The little cartridges are pigment for photo printing. The Large black cart is ink for plain paper (usually text) printing. If you select a photo paper in the print setup menu, you will use very little of the ink.
To check the function of the large cart print out a test sheet from the printer maintenance menu. You may need to run a head cleaning to get all the nozzles to work.

The power light went off and will not turn on what is wrong?

The Canon Service Manual says that you have a bad AC adapter or a bad logic board on page 1-6. You can download a copy at:
