if you can see if the screen lights from behind when the picture apears for a second then the problem is probably the invertor or worse the screen

If ur screen displaiying nothing even the osd then its diplay card is defected replace it or repair it if u can.

If you can quickly get to menu before picture goes blank, then go picture / backlight / set backlight to minimum and it will work fine.

If this is a flat panel LCD tv, this is a sure sign that the panel itself is bad. I have seen this before. Tv comes on works fine then within 5 minutes goes blank.

Most likely - the CCFL backlight is not getting the power it needs to come on. You can verify by shining a light on the front surface of the set - if you can just make out a dim image, then that is it. On some sets, the CCFL can be seen through the vents on the rear.

the only info I could find on this is one withthe same problem. Replacingthe monitor had no effect and the store exchange it.

I was told that this problem could be the power board.

may not be the inverter but the main board bad
