Question about Samsung WEP200 Headset

1 Answer

I have a gn 6210 headset bluetooth which appears that the battery will not charge. Can anyone help? Where can I get a replacement battery for the headset? Are they simple to replace? Where can I get it repaired? Also I understand that there is a replacement (BT 500V) Is that correct? It is brand new and never been used although a couple of years old.

I have _exactly_ the same problem for _exactly_ the same reason! I had this very nice BT headset for several years without using it because my Treo 650's bluetooth seemed about useless. Now I have an HTC Touch Pro, and so of course want to use this nice GN 6210, but the battery's life is very short (rather than the initial 8 hours). A replacement battery would be great!

I actually took my GN 6210 apart (not recommended)--the battery is _not_ easily user-replaceable, as it appears to be directly wired to other components. I think when the battery is dead, it's the better part of valor to move on to a newer model.

I suggest which, at the time I write, is very highly rated and is only $25, $5 after rebate. But long after that deal goes, there will be other good headsets cheap, though few with the cool mobile/landline joint compatibility. (I'm mobile-oriented, myself.)

Is a replacement battery available for 9120 I've used for a number of years?

GN Netcom probably would know. If you can identify the battery type, you can try obtaining a replacement from some other source.

No dial tone

Headset might need re pairing with the base. If this is anew set up you might need to change the compatibility dial.

No pin number

You must put in pairing mode first. Starting with it powered off, press and hold the Multi Function Button (MFB) for some 8 seconds (i.e. much longer than the time required to turn it on), until the indicator light is solidly lit. Then, make your phone (generically speaking, the bluetiooth device you want to pair your headset with) search for new devices. After a while your headset should appear on its screen. Select it make it connect. If a pairing code is requested ,enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, the headset should enter the stand-by mode (its light blinks periodically). The pairing procedure between any two bluetooth enabled devices should be performed just once. All subsequent connections should be achieved simply by bringing both devices within reach. If a bluetooth link is not established, a simple press on the MFB should get the job done.
Hope it works for you.
Regards, Carlos

Hi, We have a GN 6210 wireless headset and it doesn't seem to want to hold a charge anymore. It's good for about 1 hour and then starts beeping and goes out. Is there a battery or something that I need to...

When I used this model in the past, it appears that the battery wasn't holding a charge after a year of use. I called them about it and told me that the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore, there wasn't a battery replacement for it, and that I would have to replace it.

I believe Jabra is currently doing the support for GN. Support can be reached at this link:

GN Netcom GN 6210 - headset, no worky

Not sure what you mean by won't turn on.

If you mean no dial tone when you take it out of the cradle, I have run into this. The solution is to unplug the power cord and then plug it back in which resets the unit.
