SF357BEHW doesn't work on bake mode

Hi and thank You in advance . When I put the oven on bake mode, adjust the temperature ,and press start , the display starts counting down from 12 minutes , and nothing happens .
The oven works on broil mode fine .
I unpluged the stove from the outlet , waited for a few minutes , pluged it in back , and I saw on the screen " PF " . Is this normal ?
Any ideas ?

Thank You again ....

Thanks in advance, but we've had the same problem. When I set the oven to 'bake' and set the temp, our preheat timer starts at 12:00min. (When usually the standard preheat time for 350 degrees is 10min.). Now when our timer comes on, our oven never turns on i.e. we can not hear the igniter or the gas turn on. Our oven still works normally on the 'broiler' setting and when using the stove top too. Please help asap................ we need brownies: D!!!!!!!!

SOURCE: THE OVEN WON'T WORK. WHEN I PRESS BAKE OR BROIL I

Hi

The issue can either be a bad electronic control/clock assembly or the oven temperature sensor (probe) has gone bad. To solve this issue start by checking the oven temp. sensor for 1100 ohms, if the rating is more then 1100 then it is the sensor that is bad & if the rating is around 1100 then it is the board that is bad & should be replaced. Hope this helps...

The oven preheats, but then "cools down" before I

Most likely the problem is your bake element. When the oven is preheating it uses both the bake and the broil element. When it's done preheating it uses only the bake element, so the broil element is heating it up, and since the bake element is not working the temperature drops until it starts preheating again.

I sthere a way to calibrate my oven temperature? It is off by about 35 degrees. Temperature is lower than display.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

To Adjust the Oven Temperature (do not use Bake or Broil while adjusting the oven temperature): note: Your oven control was factory set in the (Fahrenheit) °F Temperature Display Mode. To change for (Celsius) °C, see page 15.
1. Press & hold the BAKE key pad and release after the display shows the factory temperature setting of 00. note: If the oven temperature has been previously adjusted from the factory setting, the current temperature adjusted value will appear in the display instead.
2. You may increase the oven temperature in 5°F (1°C) increments with each press of the uP arroW pad to a maximum oven adjustment of +35°F (+18°C). You may also adjust the oven temperature downward in 5°F (1°C) increments with each press of the doWn arroW pad (total range of -35°F to +35°F (-18°C to +18°C).
3. If you do not want to keep the display adjustment, press the clear oFF pad before the oven control beeps. This will cancel the temperature adjustment procedure. To start this procedure over again begin with step 1 above OR;
4. If you want to keep the adjustment, wait until the oven control beeps once.
5. The oven temperature adjustment has be accepted by the oven control and the display will return to the time of day.

Frigidaire range model #fgfl67dcf needs to be calabrated, too hot for setting

OVEN CALIBRATION Set the electronic oven control for normal baking at 350°F. Obtain an average oven temperature after a minimum of 5 cycles. Press CANCEL or CLEAR to end bake mode. TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT 1. Set EOC to bake at 550°F. 2. Within 5 seconds of setting 550°F, press and hold the bake pad for approximately 15 seconds until a single beep is heard (longer may cause F11 shorted keypad alarm). 3. Calibration offset should appear in the display. 4. Use the slew keys to adjust the oven temperature up or down 35°F in 5°F increments. 5. Once the desired (-35° to 35°) offset has been applied, press CANCEL or CLEAR. Note: Changing calibration affects both Speed Bake and normal bake modes. The adjustments made will not change the self-cleaning temperature.

How do I calibrate the oven temp?

Oven Temperature Adjustment Option for the MSG5770
If you think the oven should be hotter or cooler, you can adjust
it yourself. To decide how much to change the oven temperature,
set the temperature 25°F higher or lower than the temperature
in your recipe, then bake. The results of the “test” should
give you an idea of how much to adjust the temperature.
To adjust the oven temperature:
1. Press the BAKE pad.
2. Enter 550° by pressing the number pads “5, 5, 0”.
3. Press and hold the BAKE pad for several seconds until 0°
appears in the display.
4. Press any number pad to change the temperature. Each time
a pad is pressed, the temperature changes by 5°F.
• Press repeatedly to reach +35°F. Continue pressing
to reduce the temperature up to -35°F.
• If the oven temperature was previously adjusted, the
change will be displayed. For example, if the oven
temperature was reduced by 15°, the display will
show -15°.
5. When you have made the adjustment, press the
CANCEL pad and the time of day will reappear in the
display. The oven will now bake at the adjusted
temperature.
NOTE: Do not change the temperature setting more than
10° at a time before testing the oven.
It is not necessary to readjust the oven temperature if there
is a power interruption. This adjustment will not affect
broil or clean temperatures.

OVEN WILL NOT COME UP TO TEMPERATURE

Hello,

You can calibrate the oven on this model. Press the bake button, adjust the bake temperature up to 550 degrees and then press and hold the bake button until a 0 displays. Now you can adjust the oven temperature up or down to match the display.

Here is a repair manual link that you can use to download frigidaire repair manuals. The one for 30 inch freestanding ranges will have the section on calibrating the oven's electronic control.

Thanks
