Hi, propane heaters are very well known for Sooting up. If the gas pressure is not correct on the MGV, this will cause the heater to soot up fast. You will need to have the inlet and manifold gas pressure checked at the tank and heater. This furnace has to be cleaned up!! You will need to call out a tech to check the inches of water column.

I would assume your diagnosis is correct for the most part. In these units they use less costly bushings in in place of bearings. The original lubricant in your bushings has dried up which is a very common problem in heaters. The heat tends to cause lubricants to evaporate. The first thing you want to do is oil these bushings with a heavy oil such as 90 W gear oil. Any motor oil will work fine, but the heavier the oil the longer you will be able to go between lubrication cycles. If the bushings are out of acceptable tolerances that lubricating does not cure the problem the only other way to fix this is to replace the bushings or simply replace the unit. I hope this was helpful. If you need more help with anything post it here and I will help you for free. That way you will get me when you need free accurate help.

Ps. Make sure you do not use excessive oil as this is a heater. You can go to the pharmacy and purchase a syringe like a 18ga 1 inch to use to apply the oil. Just tell them what you need it for so they don't think you are going to use it on yourself.LOL. This is what I use, You do not get oil all over the place when you use a syringe. Hope to here back soon. Keep me posted hoe you make out.

SOURCE: Rinnai Energy Saver 302 convection gas heater has

Energysavers have fixed flue lengths, more likely your problem is the thermistor at the bottom left of the heater inside the grille getting a false temp reading. Look for yellow wire with a black bulb (like a drop of water). measure the air temp next to it while heater running, if its above room temp down there the heater will turn off early. It needs to be clean and have unobstructed air flow over it for it to work correctly.

SOURCE: Just had an American Standard Freedom 95 furnace

Most furnaces have a tech manual inside. Under the blower cover should be a trouble shooting guide. Call the dude and tell him what the problem is. You have no other source of heat and you live in alaska?. If I was you I would invest in a comfort glow gas vent free heater for emergency. No power is needed to operate the heater.

Coleman heater 3500a820 lots of smoke and now only blower works no heat

I am not sure about the heater type, but likely the heater element controller shorted out or the heater elements shorted - hence the black around where the wires go into the electric box. If you're lucky, the wires shorted to the side of the box. With the power off, open up the electrical box, mark which wires go where, remove them from the board, remove the wires from the electric box, then using electrical tape, tape up the exposed ends of the wires. Spread them out so they do not touch each other. Turn on the 60 amp breaker - if it trips, then your wires are bad and need replaced. If it does not trip, then the problem is with the heater. Do not let anyone near the wires when testing them! Don't forget to turn off the breaker if it does not trip. Again, turn off the breaker if it did not trip.

Upper radiator hose keeps leaking coolant, replaced the cuff ring but still seems to leak after a few days from the cuffed end of the hose. Does it need a new hose?

if it is leaking where it connects to the radiator it might be the radiator itself. take it to a shop and they can pressure test. some shops won't even charge for test.
