Battery change DW-290T

It's a CR-2016, and lasts one to two years. Take off the back, carefully remove the old batter, insert the new one and close up the watch.

Silver strip to make battery work fell out . how does it go back in

Examine the rear portion of the Microsoft Wireless 3000 mouse (the part where the base of your palm rests). Look for a silver button marked "Microsoft."

Press the "Microsoft" button. This button is actually the battery-door release. When you press it, the battery door pops open on its hinge.

Remove the old batteries, using the tip of your finger to gently pry them out.

Insert the left-side battery. The "Positive" post on this battery should be facing the back half of the mouse.

Insert the right-side battery. The "Positive" post on this battery should be facing the front of the mouse. Push the battery cover straight down to close it.
hope it helps

Memory card will not release does contact portion (metal face the back of the camera)?

Yes it does face the back of the camera. Try this: turn the camera over so that the battery/card slot door is facing to the right. When you open the door you should see the batteries first then the slot for your sd card. If you insert the card into the slot from this position the card label should be facing you with the notch in the card facing to the left, this should be how you insert your card. I believe it is on Page 15 of your instruction manual.

If the card is facing with the contacts towards you then it is inserted incorrectly. If you have inserted it correctly then the card is spring loaded so gently push down on the sd card and it should pop up if it doesn't then it is jammed.

If it is jammed you can try to remove it yourself with a pair of needle nose tweezers or you might just have to send it off to canon service center or your local repair/camera shop to remove the card and hope that you have not damaged the camera itself.

From page 6 of the manual:
"Insert the two top batteries with the positive terminal facing out and the two bottom batteries with the negative terminal facing out. Note: If the battery door does not shut, please check the position of the batteries."

How do I put in a CR 2032 battery. Is it the side with words facing you or not

It really depends on what you are attempting to place the batteries in. However, as a general rule the small side, which is the positive side (+), faces downward. It will either work or it won't should you place it in the incorrect way.

Canon 40D can not turn on

Same problem. Fully charged main battery. In my case, I hadn't used the camera in over 6 months. All I did was pull the main battery and then pulled the small CR 2016 button cell battery located inside the main battery compartment and re-inserted both batteries. The camera made a quiet click and then turned on with the main power switch and asked to reset the date and time. Works fine now. If this doesn't work just purchase a new button cell.
