Question about Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110

6 Answers

Logitech EX110 cordless keyboard and mouse stopped working. I have used them about 6 months, with no previous problems. Mouse stopped first, about 10 minutes later the keyboard stopped. Using "plug-ins" now and they work fine. Installed new batteries, tried the "connect" buttons, with no results. Downloaded updated drivers from Logitech. Still no results. I use them with a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop. I have another Logitech EX110 and mouse at home (this one's at work) that I use with this same laptop, and they are working fine. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Tried uninstalling at Device Manager. Still no results.

Pertaining to the wireless adapter, it seems to be ok. When I press the connect button, a connect status balloon pops up on the screen. Then the green lights flash for a few seconds. But it just doesn't connect the mouse or keyboard.

    Nothing has worked.
It's not worth the time or effort to continue.
I'm going to scrap it and buy a new one.

If both keyboard and mouse quit working at the same time.

And you are sure you are doing synch procedure correctly.

And also you are sure batteries are fine.

Then it is the main transmitter, it is faulty and even if detects the keyb and mouse it is unable to synchronize them.

Follow this checklist.

1. Batteries must be installed correctly. Both keyboard and mouse should be turned on.
2. connect one device at a time. Press the connect button on the receiver then the connect button under the mouse. test if the mouse works. If so, press the connect button on the receiver and then the connect button on the keyboard.
3. If step 2 doesn't work, try connecting the receiver on another usb port on the computer.
4. If nogo, connect a known good usb device on your computer to determine if the usb ports are working.
5. If another usb device works, test the wireless keyboard and mouse on another computer.
6. If they work on another computer or another usb device wont work on your computer, then try to restore the computer back to a date when it last worked. Go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. Choose a bold date when you are sure that keyboard worked. Note that the restore will also undo software installations or change of settings that you've done in the past. It wont affect files that are saved in your computer though. But as a precaution, if in case the restore doesnt work as expected, you can backup your important personal/business files in the system.

Hope this helps. Post back if it still wont. Otherwise, pls dont forget to accept the best fix/solution. Thanks!

If the receiver gets detected, and you get the same thing on another computer, it could be the batteries or it could be that the device is defective.

make sure you have fresh batteries in the keyboard and they are installed in the correct orientation.
then do the following.
Press the Connect button on the receiver. The receiver's LEDs will go into a sequential flashing to indicate that the receiver is ready to accept a connection.

. Press the Connect button on the bottom of the keyboard. The receiver's LEDs will now stop flashing sequentially. Then all the LEDs go off briefly, then they will all flash once before returning to the state it was in before the connect button was pressed.

. Your keyboard should now be connected to the receiver.

also check the same mouse and key board in any other machine by loading the software of the mouse and key board in that machine. that will give u the perfect idea where the exact problem is.in the mouse/keyboard or in your system.
thanks.

Go to the device manager and uninstall the mouse and keyboard, then restart the system and plug the keyboard back mouse wireless adapter back in to the usb port, the system will reload the devices, if it doesn't then there may be an issue with the wireless adapter.

Cant get the keyboard to connect on my logitech ex110

Hi, Please use the connect utility to re-sync after battery swap or unexpected disconnection :
ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/
Then depend which version of set point you are using, I recommend you to upgrade to set point 6 setpoint600.exe 23.7 MB 25/02/2010 13:48:00

Then start menu -> Logitech -> Mouse and keyboard -> connect utility
Thanks and have a nice day Julien

Sounds like your keyboard has died...Try to perform a reboot, and make sure the battery is seated correctly. You will most likely have to get it replaced. I recommend going with a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. Its a lot better than Logitech!!

Logitech cordless desktop EX110 keyboard

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
