Question about Nintendo NES Console
Hello. We have an original Nintendo (1985) and the power light blinks when we are trying to start up. We have just recovered our Nintendo system out of the garage yesterday and of course it was dusty. The Nintendo system has turned on once since we have tried to make it work and it lasted for about 25 minutes, then cut off and started blinking again. What can we do to make the system work again but this time for a LONGER period of time??
I had an original that did the same thing and the problem is that
1. it's really dirty on the inside and needs to be clean or
2. the thing that "reads" the cartridge isn't tight enough
if it's problem one then:
The connecter on the inside needs to be cleaned so just use a brush to clean out the big chunks and an compressed air to clean out the little pieces. If the connecter looks rusted go to ebay and buy another one (get a gold or silver one because they work the best.)
if it's problem two then:
Open the system and GENTLY press the two sides together so when you put the game in it is "tighter" and it can read it better.
if you don't know which is the problem, try to do solution one before two. Good luck!
