The first thing to try is port forwarding for your XBOX 360, which can be done in the router’s administration panel. By default this can be found at the ip address 192.168.2.1 and will require your user name and password. Once logged in you will be able to setup port forwarding in the “Virtual Servers” section.
The ports that Microsoft recommends to be open are:

  • 88 UDP
  • 3074 UDP
  • 3074 TCP

You need to open ports if your XBOX is behind a NAT firewall or router. You may want to ask Xbox first for the ports that you need to open.

You also need to set MTU value to 1365 and UPnP to enabled.

Please feel free to give other details on the network so I can help you properly.

Thanks.

    If you are using a TMobile router, you can open the router Administrative page using http://192.168.0.1. Leave username blank and password should be admin. Go to Applications and Gaming tab and open the necessary ports.

    For the MTU, go to Setup and set the MTU to manual then change the value to 1365.

    Make sure you click on Save settings. If there is anything else, please let us know.

    Thanks.

How to use a cell phone as a wireless modem for xbox360 problem:

If you have a Windows PC, you can connect the Xbox 360 to it with an Ethernet cable and then plug the modem into the PC. Windows Internet Connection Sharing then lets you share the mobile broadband connection with the Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, the NAT settings for mobile broadband services are controlled by the provider. This will affect your ability to connect to Xbox Live or play games with other people.

Any questions leave me a comment or testimonial. Hope this helps.

My nat settings for my xbox 360 is set to strict, I am connected to xbox live from my laptop, my laptop is connected to my linksys router, how do i change my nat settings to open if my connection is set up...

You'll need to log into the linksys router and find the setting for UPNP. Please make sure this is enabled. That should allow your NAT setting to at least Moderate, if not Open.

XBOX 360 strict NAT problem

Make sure you also open the ports on your router. IF you have all the appropriate ports open and still have strict NAT, it's more than likely your ISP and you should give them a call.

I cant hear people talking on my ax 180s but my mic doesnt work i have 360 help

ou should check your NAT type [the think that lets you connect, talk, hear, and play with people on Xbox Live]

Go to the Xbox Dashboard, Network Settings and Test Xbox Live Connection.

In the bottom of the tests, it will say your NAT Type

Strict= Bad
Moderate= Sucky
Open= Works Fine

If its Open, then you know thats not the problem.

If its Strict/Moderate, go to More Info and they will tell you more about it and give you a website that will help you out. Source(s): Experience

P.S. [That website that will help you out]

www.xbox.com/setup

P.S.S. Have you checked the batteries? Sometimes when the battery of a wireless is low, it won't allow you to speak

How do i change my xbox nat settings from strict to open

I have this router and have just enabled the NAT settings from Strict to Open:-

1. Log into router's IP address (192.168.1.1) and enter password. Select "Advanced Setup".

2. Click on Advanced on left hand menu and select UPnP

3. Check all three boxes in window and click on Apply

4. Close router configuration window and run XBox test again. Worked for me!

Nat / strict

First, why are you connecting to your laptop? Second, reset your modem and router. I doubt you need to open ports that are not normally open...but if you think you need to do more, access the router and open the ports manually.
