Hello, I just had a Kenwood 7120 installed into my 05 F350 pick up and I have a back camera on the truck as well. The problem is when I place the truck into reverse the camera shows anything on the screen on the opposite side of the truck they are actually on. So if there is a telephone pole on the right side of the truck backing up the screen in the cab on the 7120 shows the pole to be on the left side of the truck. Is there a setting on the 7120 that I can mirror image this so the back up camera will actually reflect what side of the truck an obstacle might actually be on? Thanks Mark
The Camera itself should have a Image Mirroring Function on one of the cables. Usually for the correct image to show how you need it to show for the back up camera, there is a jumper terminal that should be left or taken off. Or the only other solution would be if your unit had a setting where you can switch the image.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Does it keep reverting back to 12:00 AM?
Or seem to be resetting like that?
Has this recently been installed?
If so then the power supply has not been connected properly.
There needs to be a constant power that is always powered even when car is off, so that it can retain a memory for settings etc.
And then an accessories power that only kicks in when the ignition key is turned.
My electronics savvy source says you may be overdriving the amplifier in your Kenwood stereo to an impedance-mismatched set of speakers, meaning that the speakers are impedance mis-matched to the Kenwood stereo, and therefore operate ok (but inefficiently) at low volume, but cut off completely at higher volume. Fix: match the impedance of your speaker network to the specs on your Kenwood car stereo. Once this is done, you should be able to crank up the volume to the point of permanent hearing loss. SAFETY CAUTION - sound levels above 85 decibels produce NIHL (noise-induced hearing loss). http://www.dangerousdecibels.org/education/information-center/faq/
all wires are properly coverd right. and u are using the right wireing harness. and matching the white/black to white/black and white to white. if the wires are all matching and none are wrong i would take back the cd/dvd player
My dads F-250 did the same thing. What happened with his is, the factory wiring they did in the mirror was actually too short for the distance between the mirrors to the motor. They folded in, and the wires were very strained, until they just came disconnected. We ran longer wires on the inside and now they are fine. Hope this helps a little.
i don't think it will blow the unit if swapped...both of them should have power (~positive 12volts)...in the red wire power is supposed to cut off when you turn the ignition key to off...and the yellow wire is supposed to have power constantly(memory)
The "protect" display is probably being caused by a shorted or grounded (touching vehicle chassis or other ground) speaker wire. Check the speaker wires for bare spots, etc and insulate or replace as necessary.
You do not need to remove the fuses to force a "cold reset" of the W-3041. You can simply press the "reset" button on the front of the unit. It's the little recessed button at the lower left of the volume control. Use the straightened end of a paper clip or ballpoint pen to momentarily hold the button in.
if you matched all the wires from the harness to the kenwood deck and its not working don't worry you just missed the last step........(all wires attached that a colour coded connected)
simply turn your car on.........now on the front of the kenwood deck there is a SOURCE button with all units it could be a (S, SRC, Power) hold the source button down till your kenwood unit powers up ..........if your unit still doesn't work check the fuse on back of kenwood unit should be a 10a fuse (blue) if the fuse is fine put the unit back in dash..........now check the fuse panel on driver side dash with the door open you will see this panel pull it off (some describe the fuse panel as looking like an air vent but its not its a handle to open) now on the panel that you just pulled off there is a fuse diagram on the inside look at it find radio fuse it will be a (blue fuse) located in the top row of fuses check it if blown replace and unit should work.............if this doesn't solve the issue than its a (sneaky) fuse not to many people know about if you pop the hood of your car there is a black plastic panel located just below the battery pins and just above the driver head light (usually black box with yellow writing on it......in this there are mini fuses check all of them do not touch the black relays in there just the small tiny fuses the fuse you will look at should be yellow 20a (this fuse is closest to engine and comes after the abs relay if you look inside the lid you took off it will have fuse locations cant remember which one it is for sure but check them..........now see if your kenwood unit powers up if not the last option is to ground to the black wire from back of kenwood unit to metal frame.............this last part is also done if your unit does power on but your car lights don't work if this happens ground the kenwood unit to the frame of car and open up fuse panel on driver side dash replace the blown fuse for lights or radio (make sure the kenwood unit is grounded to the frame before replacing the fuse in dash panel............if this doesnt help you than i would assume the kenwood deck needs to be repaired by kenwood.......
hope i was able to help and sorry this list is so long
