Be sure the audio cable is connected from the monitor to the sound card (green port) and that the monitor volume is actually on and turned up. If you are able to get sound with other speakers or headphones connected to your computer then the problem is with the monitor speakers.

This is free unless you want the premium services as I understand it. It just takes time for someone to browse the questions and reply.

I just put together a View Sonic MONITOR, VA2446M LED I can't get the speakers to work. No volume at all. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

There are internal speakers, but you need to power them with something, as they are not amplified, so the source must be via the sound card in the computer. Connect a lead from the sound card OUT to the Monitor IN.

They are very poor at 2 watts, but ViewSonic make good monitors. I have one sitting in the corner after I upgraded to Asus widescreen.

Sound not playing on my view sonic VG1921wm LCD monitor.

Try feeding it with an MP3 player to find out if you do get the sound or not to narrow down the problem to the monitor or the PC sound problem. If it is in the monitor, it can be bad audio power amp IC, I would rather but a good set of powered PC speakers than spending money on getting the monitor repaired.

I need to see what the View Sonic Optiquest Q19wb audio cord looks like because, I don't have enough space and I want to try out the built-in speakers.

It is an audio cable with mini stereo phone plug at both ends that you can get it at Radio Shack.<br /> <img src="" /> <br /> <span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"><a href=""></a></span><br /> <span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"><a href=""></a></span>

My View Sonic monitor speakers were working fine until yesterday. There is a static sound coming from them now.

Double check all your connections to start with and make sure the lead for the speakers is plugged into the GREEN port on your computer.

Also and i know this may sound silly.

Check that you don't have cell phones or wireless phones , baby alarms too near the computer or speakers.

My speakers give me advance warning of when my cell phone is going to ring if I have it too close to my computer !

Sound on the View Sonic Monitor

Yes, they are on the front of the screen. There should be a volume up and down button right on the front (usually to the left of the power). If there isn't a separate up and down, try the Menu or 1 and 2 buttons.
