On the bottom right side of your computer screen you will find a icon of a printer.click on it .a screen with the printer driver will apper and the job you printed will be listed on that screen.right click on it and then click "cancel"you can leave the printer turned of as it will take a few minutes to do this.during this time the printer will keep pushing out paper if it is not turned off.

Our printer is not printing any attachements or documents. It is printing Greek gogleeegoop. Some error messages in the text including vertical align, margin, border etc.

Cancel all the queued printer-jobs.
Cancel the current printer-job.
Turn the printer off.
Disconnect the AC power from the printer.
Reconnect the AC power.
Turn the printer on.
Try a "test" print -- it should be OK.

How do I cancel a print job?

just turn the printer off...and delete the commands from the error and job folder...you have to insist ...and try to open it from control panel or Hp in all programs .if it doesn't work from tray system ...this is the way to annul the commands...if it does not want to ..restart and try it again until it get rid of it ...restarting will make it not see that is used by another device ..

Windows comes with drivers for many HP printers.

You can try to install your HP deskjet 5440 by going to (depending on operating system) "Start", "Printers and Faxes", "Add Printer". Select a local port. Select "HP" and Model "HP Deskjet 5440".

If 5440 is not in your list, or if you want the latest driver, you can download the driver for your specific operating system here:

Not printing

Forgive me for asking, but are you sure you removed the protective tape on the bottom corner of the cartridge?

You might want to print a diagnostic test print. With th eprinter on, press and hold the power button and hit the (X) cancel button, then release both buttons.
