Dryer is getting hot but clothes are not drying

I have a Frigidaire GLGQ2152ES, it was working fine until i moved. I reconnected the gas line and plugged it back in. It seems to heat up when running a drying cycle but the cloths are coming out damp/moist. Any suggestions?

You have a vent problem. Eliminate all (if possible) flex duct (replacing with ridged aluminum pipe and aluminum elbows). Clean lint out of remaining vent pipe. Make sure vent is not crushed or obstructed, especially behind the dryer. If possible, make sure outside vent termination is not a two inch opening. (you want a full 4 inches)

Dryer will not stop spinning when door is closed

Good Morning Jeff,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire dryer, model# GLGQ2152ES, to stop spinning, even though all the lights are off. It could possibly be the different boards and sensors miscommunicating with each other. I suggest giving the appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. When you turn the power back on, if the dryer is still spinning, without you wanting it to, I would suggest contacting either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Ge gas dryer heats but doesnt dry

if the flame is lighting you have lint blocking the air flow either in the dryer or in the vent line, also if you have a flame for the first 10 to 20 minutes and then the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils located on top of the gas valve, when the coils are bad they can work for the first 10 to 20 minutes until the coils get hot and then they fail and you'll see the ignitor glowing orange but no flame, bad gas coils.then when the coils cool down they can work again.hope this helps.you can try removing the vent line from the back of the dryer and see if the flame stays on,if lint is blocking the air from blowing out the flame won't stay lit long enough to dry the clothes.

The dryer works fine in TimeDry mode, but in Intellidry mode it dries very slowly. The "Moisture Moniture" indicator lights start and stay at "Less Dry". I have replaced the moisture...

you could have bad gas coils.if the timer doesn't advance in auto dry most likely you're having heat problems, when the dryer heats and then the heat shuts off then the timer will advance, when the heat comes back on the timer stops,it does this until the clothes are dry.gas coils when starting to fail will work normally until they get hot and then no heat until the coils cool down then they will work again,on time dry the timer just keeps counting down until the time runs out no matter what's happening to the dryer.i've seen the coils fail after the first 10 minutes and other times for 20 to 30 minutes but usually if the load is big and in time dry the clothes will feel warm and you'll need to dry them a second time to get them fully dry, also while you're in ther you should clean out the dryer at least once a year, clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vacuum out the cabinet where the motor is and blow out the vent line,if it's a long run i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, remove it from the back of the dryer, stick the leaf blower into the vent line and blow it out,i've blown out birds nest out of some lines, your clothes will dry on time, you won't go through so many parts and you won't have to worry about a dryer fire, the gas coils are on top of the gas valve, remove the two phillips screws, lift off the cover and change out the coils.next time you use the dryer keep an eye on it,after it runs for 20 minutws start checking it,you'll hear a click, then another click and the flame will lite, look into the gas tube and if the flame isn't liting then you have bad gas coils.

My dryer works fine but the only prob is that it dont get hot enough to dry clothes

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

NOT DRYER CLOTHS LIKE IT USE TO TAKING MUCH LONGER

Check for clogs in the vent air line. If dryer lint or some obstruction is slowing the air flow it will take longer to dry clothes. Also the dryer may not be getting hot enough. Check to see if the clothes feel hot or warm when you reach inside. If it feels hot enough it is likely an issue with air flow. heat and air flow are required to dry clothes.

Kenmore Series 70 Gas Dryer not getting hot enough

The first thought I have is about the gas supply. If you had natural gas at the old house and now have propane or visa versa you need to change the orifices in the dryer as gas flow is different. Also, if the gas line some how got a kink in it when the dryer was being installed that too would restrict the flow of gas.

No heat to our gas frigidaire dryer

Make sure the gas valve is opening, you'll smell gas. Second, check if the glow bar comes on or, if the thermal couple is lined up to the igniter.
