Question about Dell A960 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I changed the black ink cartridge on my A960. I closed the scanner unit and the display showed "0502". I turned the printer off, disconnected the power, reconnected the power, turned it back on and the display showed "Black cartridge missing". When I raised the scanner unit the ink cartridges remain on the left, they do not move to the loading position. I've tried to manually move the ink cartridges to the center but they only move a couple of inches. Please help.
The ink cartridge had jammed the carrier and prevented it from moving. I stuck my little finger in the bottom of the carrier, pushed the cartridge up a bit, freed the carrier and was able to move it manually. I replaced the cartridge and all the messages went away. The printer now works as it should. Must have been a bad cartridge.
