SOURCE: 54" cub Cadet mower... difficuly

I would srart by removing the negitive battery cable then the positive and clean posts and terminal ends with wire brush or sandpaper. I would then go through and one by one clean each cable you can get to on the starter and solenoid and any grounds to frame. Clean one at a time and replace as you go.If you have had the same battery for more than two years I would replace it to. A good battery will cost you about $40.00
Check gear on starter to see if teeth are badly worn. If so most of the gears can be replaced without replacing the starter. Make sure you have a good clean plug with the proper gap, clean fuel and air filter and vent hole in gas cap.Hope this helps you and thanks.

SOURCE: I have a cub cadet 2146 riding mower. I've changed the battery and replaced the fuses, still no power. What else could the problem be?

check the battery connections and also the earth cable if no luck their then check the fuses with a test light or similar and look for a feed to the fuses as the connections at the back of the fuses could be corroded

Use pliers, if necessary to help remove the cap, and then pull the cotter pin from the front axle. Pull the wheel and tire assembly off the axle. Remove the hubcap on the rear axle, if a rear wheel is being removed. Loosen and remove the hex head bolt with a socket wrench and 5/16-inch socket.

My son was mowing, with our cub cadet 2166, and ran the left front tire into a fence and now the steering wheel wont work. You can turn it and it feels really loose but it isn't connecting to the

Check the two main gears. One at the end of the steering shaft and the other that it contacts. Some brands are adjustable where the large gear is held on by a bolt and an excentric which allows you to move the large gear closer to the smaller gear. This may have been knocked out of place or the gear(s) stripped. Here is a basic diagram of the parts.

I have a cub cadet rzt50 mower...Need to replace a tire

There is a thru bolt, and inside and outside bushing, and center sleeve. Remove those to remove the wheel. Obviously support the frame on a jack. Most tires can be removed using a slight soapy solution and 2 smooth screwdrivers. Replacement, use a soapy solution around the bead, and using only hand pressure put the tire back on. Use a cinch strap around the center of the tire to help keep the tire beads against the rim and air it back up.
