Right click on my computer>properties>device manager>hardware and look for line saying cd/dvd drives and highlight your dvd burner.
Right click it and click uninstal.
Restart your pc and Windows will automatically re install it.
See if this works, if not either needs a lazer clean disc or you need to replace it they are cheap these days.
