Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range

F2 code At certain times it seems like when the oven is not clean, that the F2 comes on. I do not have an owner's manual and do not know what this means. We can not afford to buy a new oven and this is not that old. So please help if possible, Thanks Susan

Re: F2 code

Susan, Im assuming that this code is coming up when you are using bake. An F2 code during bake means that the control senses an oven temperature above 650 degrees. Now I doubt if this is the case so you need to look at the temperature sensor for too high of resistence in the circuit. Another possibility is welded relay contacts in the Electronic control itself. With out being there and doing the checks, I would lean toward a new temp sensor. Easy job, part number is WB20K04, look it up on the net to see what it looks like and pricing. back.

How do I reset on a F2 ?

Does it just say "F2", or "F2 E1" or "F2 E6" or some other "F2 - Ex" error code? On KitchenAid wall ovens, I would frequently encounter an F2-E6 error, and when you would press the Bake key, it would beep out a "morse-code" message (beep beeeeeeep beep beep beep). And in that case, you would have to replace the electronic oven control.

Sf367lxss 2 turns off during preheat

F2 E0 is certainly a the error for a stuck key on the pad. Did you buy a new? If so you need to return it and have it replaced. Here is the part to order.

All parts come with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

Range Oven clean cycle problem

An F2 error is the oven temp exceeded 590 Deg with the door unlocked.

I know you have been troubleshooting the door lock issue. There can be a problem with the micro-switch actuating arm of the door latch assembly.

If the actuation arm is bent you will get the symptom your describing. You can attempt to bend the actuating arm "upward" on the microswitch. The curved end of the arm should be even with the curved latch swing arm hole end when properly adjusted.

The switch can also be failing electrically with heat but highly unlikely. You may end up changing out the door latch assy. listed above to correct the problem. I still believe you can just adjust the micro-switch and save yourself some money.

My Maytag wall oven CWE9000ACB is giving me a fault code F2.

The F2 fault code is usually for a out of limit tempature reading due to a faulty temp probe or excessive temp during clean cycle with door unlocked. If you have disconnected the power for over 10 minutes and the error keeps coming back then you will need to test the tempature probe to see if it is defective. Test with a OHM meter and at room tempature most probes should read around 1100-1300 ohms. if the reading is way off or open then replace the tempature probe.

Error code E2 F2

As you are aware the technical manual for your range doesn't show an error code of E2 F2 but all of the F2 codes pertain to the touchpad of the range.
Can you clear the E2 F3 by pressing the cancel button? If not, shut off the power to the range for a few minutes and see if the error code goes away. If the error code remains You should unplug the range from the wall and remove the back panel for the control area. Disconnect the ribbon between the touchpad and the electronic control, clean the end of it and reconnect it.
If this doesn't repair the problem you will need to replace the touchpad on the range. The parts diagram lists two touchpads, they are part numbers 8273575- bisque, and 8272702- white.
E2 relates to an overheating condition. Quite possibly related to your touchpad issue. I'd try cleaning the contacts and if that doesn't work...Up to you at that point!

Good luck
