NEC 16X Multiple Format DVD+/-R/RW/DL Burner - Silver DVD Drive

DVD Issue after newinstallation - Receiving error...

posted by mrclean on Nov 01, 2006

I installed a NEC 16x DVD+R/RW Double lAyer for a friend. I installed the new DVD player in the expansion drive and installed the software. When I try to play a DVD using Windows Real Player, I keep getting an error messgae to decrease the color resolution or the number of colors and there is no picture. I reduced the color resolution and bits thru Windows XP, but I still keep getting that error message. The resolution and number of bits are as low as it can go. I even try a few different DVDs. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

Better to use software such as Windows Media Player, or powerDVD, realplayer more for your internet mpeg type movie files.
