Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Battery charge I have had my phone only 4 months and suddenly it will not hold a charge for more than a few hours, even if it has not been used. This started shortly after I linked it with a bluetooth device. so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Re: Battery charge

Make sure that your bluetooth is still not powered on. It tends to drain the battery, but you probaly have another problem as well. Perhaps you should invest in another battery, to make sure thats not faulty.

Not a real technical solution but if the original battery is still being used then there is a chance the battery is not holding the charge. I've had this issue in the past with a Motorola Droid and after the battery was replaced it held on for a few days instead of a couple of hours. Depending on phone use and charging methods older batteries will not hold a charge for long. I would recommend trying to get a battery saver app from the Google Play store to see if it helps as well. Again, this isn't a real tech solution but I hope this helps you along some. =)

Hello, why the phone is still shutting down is because the cell of the battery is weak and can power on the phone for to long, that's why it shots down so quick,

You will need to replace battery with a new one for longer talk hours.

Make sure you charge battery for 6hours before use.

Take care.

Hi have had my nokia 6280 for 2 and a half years now...replacing it soon but need it to function for another two months! problem is my battery started taking forever to charge and then stopped charging...

hi thanks for using fixya!!

On this kind of error, even if you had to change the battery or even the charger, perhaps the power supply internally is already damaged. Charging for more than 2 hours is a sign of something is not good and after that still shutting down. I recommend that you bring your phone to a Nokia Care Center or any service center to further check the hardware parts.

Sony Ericsson K770i Phone won't turn on red light apears on the top left, any suggestions?

This has happened to me twice - the first instance occurred when I'd only had the phone a few days and the second occurred today after months of trouble-free use.

On both occasions the phone wouldn't charge via the mains charger - it wouldn't switch on even when plugged in and neither the battery or the charger were warm to the touch after hours of charging, indicating that nothing was happening.

The solution for me was to connect the phone to my PC via the USB cable - nothing happened at first, the PC didn't recognise the phone and it remained lifeless. However, I left it attached to my PC and after 10-15 minutes it suddenly whirred into life.

The battery was COMPLETELY flat despite my attempts at mains charging, so I let it charge via USB for a while then transferred it to the mains charger. This time the mains charger worked.

I've no idea why, but this has worked for me twice so give it a try.

Is the battery lithium -ion? If not, you have an older generation of battery.

Having mentioned that, some batteries need an introductory "conditioning period". Continue your excercise of charging and draining (dont drain too too low) and hopefully you will start seeing some decent longer lasting charges.

Hope that helps!
