SOURCE: digital rebel battery drain with flash only

I would suspect the batteries

Ive got an eos Rebel think its just over 4 years old
for the last year its been used every weekend for several hours 300+ pics per weekend between 2 nights I found that recently where one battery would last a night the battery was running out midway through & also taking longer to charge afterwards

2 after market replacements cost me about £10 and things are back to normal

5 years is a pretty good lifespan for a battery so its probably just getting old

I'd go to the Canon website. Follow links for support and downloads, see if there's a firmware upgrade for your camera. If not or it doesn't resolve the problem, then check if there's a forum on the site or even email their techs. for advice.

Why does my Polaroid camera 300 flash red lights

It can flash red as it approaches a full charge. Also, if it is approaching the battery dying. You said it had a new battery, maybe it is reflecting being near full charge. Otherwise, Check the flash to see if the bulb is burnt out. Next, check to see if the film cartridge is jammed. or is empty. It will also flash red if you purchased the incorrect film. If none of these options seem to be the problem, you may seek out support from the manufacturer.

I have not used my Polaroid 600 for a few years. It needs film but I am not sure its working because when i open the flash no lights come on. Does is take battery's? If so I can't see where they...

The battery is an integral part of the film pack. When you put a fresh pack in, you get a fresh battery. A dead battery means the rest of the photo pack is unusable.

Original photo packs are no longer manufactured and all remaining unused Polaroid stock will be long out of date with flat batteries and stale chemicals. If kept stored cold, the chemicals may be fresh but the batteries will be flat as cold kills batteries even faster. Such photo packs cost a lot, are not guaranteed to work, and you only have the vendor's word that they have been cold stored. They're only usable in cameras modified to accept an external 4.5v dc power supply.

You can buy new and fresh photo packs from The Impossible Project, though. Just be aware that it's not the same as the original material and is really intended for artistic use. It's also not light stable and fades quickly, so scan any images you wish to keep, but is designed to be far more manipulable than the original material.

Click here for the company website where you can learn all about their product and how best to use it. You can buy directly or the site shows you where a few retailers are (not many worldwide).

I have a Polaroid t1031 Digital camera that I've only had since last Christmas. It has never been dropped or mishandled. However, the flash no longer works on it? The flash doesn't seem to be physically...

Sometimes the flash will be disabled when the battery is low in order to save power. Charge the battery fully and start up the camera.

At the top of the display, second from the left, you should see a symbol that contains a lightning bolt. This indicates the flash setting. Press the right side of the circular button until the symbol matches the picture on that button (just the bolt, no eye or A or anything). Now the flash is set to forced on. Try taking a picture.

If the flash still is not going off, something is broken. Call Polaroid. They may replace it if you have a receipt (as long as it's not refurbished or over a year old).

The Flash will not work

1. Turn on the camera.
2. Set the camera to Still Image mode.
3. Press the Flash button to cycle through the flash settings and select the one you need.
The flash range: 3 ft to 6.7 ft (1 m to 2 m).

How do I change the battery in a Polaroid Sun600 lms?

The battery is contained within the film pack. The battery in the film was designed to ensure that fresh batteries were in place each time a new film was inserted. This is the battery that operated the flash, and the film eject motor. Polaroid has wound down production of the 600 type film, and there is no replacement forthcoming.

Camera operation

Scratch4:

unfortunately i do not keep those dino's.
from memory:
some models will flash automatically,
some models will flash if the light is lifted up
some models have a switch and you should be able to find it if you look around carefully.

but my advice is, trash it as i suggested to other poster.
because you are spending good money after bad, and because

1). the DC prices are so cheap and you can get remarkable crispy sharp "instant" pictures than the "blurr" polariod's.
2). the polaroid films are so expensive and difficult to find, and usually they are not fresh anymore on the shelves, if you are lucky to find them.
3). the films only match certain models, not all
4). the battery built-in the film pack may go low (i have been working for a company which was its battery mftr).

My Fun! Flash 640 does not power on.

Check to see that the On/Off switch is in the On position. Check to see that the green power light on the back of the camera is lit. If it is not lit, make sure that the batteries are loaded properly. If necessary, insert fresh batteries and try again.
