Check filter light blinking will not start only beeps what to do please help

Probably a lint buildup on the sensor. Need to clean the entire lint system. Should be able to remove the plastic frill if the lint filter is inside the drum. Remove the two screws and clean out all the lint then pull the dryer out remove the vent hose. Run a vacuum hose or reach up i to there and pull out the li t. Then clean out the vent hise...a broom handle works if it's a straight shot.

Check filter light flashing - dryer willnot start

Check the exhaust hose for crimping or blockage. Some models have a drum shaped inlet that slides over the fan housing inlet. A lot of times the lint literally piles up at the bottom in that inlet drum till it begins to restrict flow.

I changed the Drum belt on my Maytag this morning and, when I removed that part to get the belt around the drum, I was able to pull out a fist full of lint that had accumulated in that inlet drum that had to get by the lint screen first.

How do i get the drum off?

What you do first is unplug it for safety. Remove the filter. Then remove the 2 screws that hold the filter chute to the top of the machine. Then grab each side of the top from the rear and pull slightly forward to release the front and raise the top. Then remove the screws on the front and raise up the front after unplugging the lid switch. Then grab the idler and get the belt loose and lift the drum out as seen in my home movie:

Whirlpool dryer drum doesn't turn. Hear fan motor and gas ignition but drum doesn't move. Tried overide switch on door to verify the drum doesn't move. I am looking for the owner manual but I...

the belt broke, you can buy a kit with the belt, rollers and pulley, change out everything and you'll be good to time send the model number.good luck.while you have the dryer apart, vac out all the dust and lint and if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow the motor out and clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, also if your vent line is a long run remove it from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower if you have one.

Dryer comes on, drum is turning, no heat

clean the vent tubing for lint build up causes the moister sensor to put the burner into the check mode if clogged up.
if the vents are clean and the same problem persist, check the spark ignitor. it clicks when igniting the burner upon start up

Turn dryer on and it starts to heat up and then the heat stops and within about 2-3 minutes will start to heat up and then the heating up stops.

Clean out the exhaust vent tubing really good.. A moister sensor will detect any build up of lint and shut the heat off

Dryer turns on, drum turns, all appears to work fine, but we get no heat. Pulled front panel and noted the heating element/ignitor does not ignite. Amy experience with this? Bad ignitor? bad gas valve?...

You may have a bad spark ignitor.. Check the vent tubing for any blockage of clogged lint build upfirst. The moister sensor detects that and will keepthe heat off until the the lint clogs are cleared

Gas dry will not heat

Do this first
Remove all exhaust vent tubing and clean it out thoroughly.
Any lint build up will prevent the burner to operate
A moister sensor stops the burner when it senses lint build up
Reattach the vents now and proceed to the next steps below
If thoroughly cleaned & no build up is present start the dryer and listen for the spark ignitor to click. If it does not click the ignitor is bad. If it does click and no heat appears to come through the dryers drum within 30 seconds the moister sensor is at fault

G.E. gas dryer will not heat.

either the moister sensor is bad or the venting needs to be cleaned thoroughly. If clogged full of lint the sensor shuts down the heat until it is cleaned out
