Question about Panasonic CT-32HXC14 32" TV

Panasonic CT-32HXC14 32" TV Display problems

I don't know what to say about this thing. It is an abortion on the eyes. Scenes in outdoor enviroments look absolutely stunning, but take an indoor environment and everything is really really high contrasted. To the point that a black suit or shirt has no definition. It will just show up as a black blob. I've tried 480i on the PS2 and my Panasonic RV-32 DVD player and the picture quality is just inconsistent and plain bad. There are also these lines that go up and down the tv when a video source is being displayed. Anyone have this same tv? Am I just screwed and have to spend money on a new set or a repair?

Try turning down the contrast, brightness and especially the sharpness.
