Question about Gigabyte GV-NX62TC256 GeForce 6200, (256 MB) PCI Express Graphic Card

Dual monitor problem

I'm having GV-NX62TC256P4-RH PCIe video card based on Nvidia GeForce 6200 video chip. This card has three outputs: DVI, Analog VGA and TV Out. First monitor is connected on Analog VGA and second is connected via DVI-Analog converter to DVI port. I'm not using TV Out. I have installed drivers that came on cd with graphic card, and I'm running Windows XP Professional with SP2. I'm having problems running both monitors in same time, in DualView mode. In dropdown list within driver preferences, there is only SingleView mode, and in this mode both monitor work perfectly, but only one at a time... Is there any solution? Can this card run two monitors in DualView mode (user's manual say they can)? Thanx in advance!

    Thank you for your reply...
I want to use both monitors in dualview mode, not TV and monitor... I suppose that I don't have to explain you why I don't want to use TV as second monitor :)

    Greetings!

Sorry for a long delay, I was out of country...

Just tryed your suggestion, downloaded files and all... It appears it's not working with my card. It's not even listed in .txt that comes in archive :(

Too bad... but, I'll try to find updated bios for my card anyway.

    Thank you :)

I have downloaded the file... name of the file is same as my video card...
But there seems to be problem inside the archive file...
When I start update utility it's says: This VGA card is unknown.

Also, in readme.txt there is nothing about my card... :(
I guess somebody mixed up something :(

    Thanks again for your concern...

Maybe it's the flash utility that is wrong...
I'll try with utility that comes with card...

I've heard this card will support dual monitors but might need a firmware upgrade to do so. You can get the new BIOS here; http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/VGA/BIOS_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=BIOS&FileID=12292 Hope this helps. Let me know. Dudester

    Strange.

The file name you downloaded was vga_bios_gv-nx62tc256p4-rh_f2.exe right? That is the exact model number of your card yes?

Did the BIOS upgrade work or was there a problem with the install?

I think you may have to use tv out as the secondary monitor

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don

you have an nvidia based card. there should be nvidia control panel with those drivers, if not download it. to find out just right click an empty portion of your desktop. then look for nvidia control panel. if it is there just start it. then on the left side of the control panel look for display and click the subcategory set up multiple displays. this will give you a window that shows both of your displays. just uncheck the clone displays. this will allow you to configure them independently.

Have a new 23 inch samsung monitor that requires res 1920x1080

The problem is the cable connection to the video card.
When using the DVI output of the FX 5500, the maximum screen resolution that you can select is 1280 x 1024.

But, if you use the Analog (VGA) output, the card will support resolutions up to 2048 x 1536, which should be ok.

Choosing Graphics card.

NVidia Geforce series, i have found is the most reliable and less likely to screw with your system in a negative way like Radeon.

I have used all forms of video cards in the past. the GeForce series is stable. I have a Dual HDMI output card myself, its only a 512mb DDR2 but it does the work load of MMORPG's with ease and my system very rarely has issues unless i am trying to run more than i rightly should. So my suggestion is the GF9600T. It is powerful beyond beleif and will make resolution and texture ratio through the roof.

Thats my professional opinion on this.

Nvidia GeForce 7200 GS PCIE - Multi-Display does not work

This card does not allow you to Multi-Display with the VGA port and the S-video port. If you put a DVI to VGA port adaptor (not supplied) on the DVI port, you can Mulit-Display two VGA monitors and (presumably) a VGA (from the DVI port) and S-video monitor.

This is not explained anywhere and the card does not come with a DVI to VGA port adaptor, so I wa only able to work this out after I bought the DVI to VGA port adaptor.

Video card for Dell 531s

This computer uses a PCIe-16 slot, so any half-height dual-monitor card with DVI would do for you. The XFX Geforce 7200GS with 256MB memory has dvi and vgb outputs. It supports the resolution of your 20" Syncmaster, and is around $40 at Newegg.com at this time.
