Question about Sony KP-46WT500 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I had a Sony KP-57WS500 big screen TV. It was working fine for the last 3 years, now suddenly I see a double images.I reset the color and the flash focus that didn't help, so I open the back of the TV and and block one beam lights at a time to see which beam light is not fuction right. The red and blue seems to work fine, but the green beams has an arc (pincusion) on the pictures that why is not line up with the blue and red beams. I try to adjust the green beams, but it only zome in and out. Are there anyway I could adjust the green beams to make the arc line straight with the red and blue beams or maybe there's something else to it? Please help me if anybody have any ideas. Thanks so much!
Your Convergence Correction Amplifier ICs have gone bad (STK329-110) They must be replaced along with the biasing resistors
www.electronix.com has the parts you will need plus I would suggest that you have a qualified TV repair person do the installation for you.
Make sure the traces on the circuitboard are good and that the solder connections are good.
But the ICs and resistors need to be replaced.
