Programing Hello, can someone please let me know how to program the defender to be on MANUAL, and not a set program. I lost my manual in my last move. I just want it to be constantly on the lowest setting, with the option to manually bump it up to level 2 & 3 if needed. Thanks.

The light is a reminder to change the filter, it does not sense if the filter has been changed or not.
When the red light is blinking, press and hold both up and down arrows until the red light blinks RAPIDLY, release both for a second or two, and press and hold both again until it stops blinking.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you want the Defender model and not the Majestic model. I believe the latter is a vacuum. Here's a link to the Defender 360 manual. Best of luck.

The blue means the germicidal lamp is operating. Re: green light - Normal operation at all power levels involves a pre-programmed cycle of altering high and low air movement. Press the the green to override the regular power control setting and run the unit at maximum power for five minutes. Your previously selected power level will resume after the five minutes has elapsed.

Did you find an answer to your orange light question? I have an AM4000 defender that I bought off Craigslist and thought I got a good deal on it. One minute after turning it on the red light came on. I tried to reset it but  the red light won't flash so you can't reset it. I don't know if it's a filter problem or a circuit board problem and I don't want to spend $100 bucks on filters to find out it's a different problem. If you buy filters on e-bay, they're cheaper but if you spend $100 from a distributor then you reactivate the warranty. I'm sorry I bought it.

If still flashing then there is a more serious, but probably fixable fault. Hope this helps - ask again if you need more info :)
