Depending on make and model, install disc in tray and shut computer down. Now power up, when logo appears press F12 to set the boot order, use up and down arrow keys on the keyboard, when CD/DVD is highlighted press enter installation should start and follow prompt. The laptop you have may have a different F key for boot order, so when logo appears look down bottom right for the F key number.

Want to unistall ubuntu 12.04 from hp sleekbook and install windows 8.1. pls help

Assuming you have your windows 8.1 on disks, make sure your HP is set to boot from disk and put disk in and boot your computer up. The windows install should start and you can choose to delete Ubuntu and install windows. Remove any partitions that it displays and choose to install windows on the entire disk. After that just follow the prompts and windows will install.

Install windows 95 from floppy

Microsoft Windows 95 employs the use of a bootable floppy disk to begin the installation of the Windows 95 operating system or to troubleshoot problems with the system. Microsoft Windows 95 uses the MS-DOS system to boot the computer first and then loads the Windows 95 operating system onto the machine. Windows 95 Boot Disks may be created in one of two ways: The Startup disk may be created from within Windows or a boot disk may be created from a free downloaded boot disk image. After the boot disk is created the disk may be used to boot the computer and install or troubleshoot Windows 95.

Click "Start" and then click "Settings" in Windows 95. Click the "Control Panel" option. Click "Add and Remove Programs." Click "Startup Disk" and then click "Create." Insert the blank floppy disk into the disk drive. Click "OK." The operating system will create the Windows 95 boot disk. Click "OK" when the disk is finished. Create the Windows 95 Boot Disk using Downloaded Boot Disk Image Open a Web browser and navigate to the boot disk image site (See "Below"). http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm Download the Windows 95 boot disk image and save the .EXE file to the desktop. Click the .EXE file to unzip the enclosed files. The formatting application will start. Insert the blank floppy disk into the disk drive and click "OK." The Windows 95 boot image will be created on the blank floppy disk. Use the Windows 95 Boot Disk Insert the Windows 95 boot up disk into the computer's floppy disk drive. Power the computer down by clicking "Start" and then clicking "Shutdown." Power on the computer with the Windows 95 boot disk in the floppy disk drive. The computer will boot up into MS-DOS to enable installation or troubleshooting of Windows 95.

Formatted acer aspire 5736z with windows 7 ultimate and finished but operating system not loading and takes me to recovery screen tried recovery but still takes me there again and again, tried to boot...

Please take a close look at the disk you are using to install "Windows 7 Ultimate". It is definitely a "Recovery Disk" for Windows 7 Ultimate. You cannot install Windows 7 with a recovery disk. Recovery disk always is used to repair corrupt or damaged files of Windows OS and requires that the Operating System is already installed. You need a "Windows 7 Ultimate" Installation disk to install Windows not a recovery disk for Windows.

My computer verry slow.. i want format my computer

You can format by doing a fresh install of Windows. What operating system are you using? If you are using Windows and you have the windows installation disk then you can easily reformat your HDD. All you have to do is go into you BIOS (When your pc starts press <F2> repeatedly. When your BIOS is up look for your (BOOT Partitions). With the Windows disk in the disk tray it should show up on the list of partitions. Move the disk drive so it adds the Windows installation disk as the main boot partition. When you are done with the bios settings restart your pc and the installation disk should prompt you to install a fresh version of windows on the next startup. If you have Windows hope this helps :)

It is not formatting., please help me

hi

follow these instructions

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Windows installation media (and product key)
  • Manufacturer software
  1. Ensure that the hard disk is installed properly in the laptop. The drive cannot be formatted before it is installed, or if it's not installed correctly.

  2. Gather the required software. The type of media will depend on the hardware in your laptop. Older computers without a CD-ROM drive, will require the use of the operating system floppy disks. Laptops that can run Windows XP require the installation CD and product key. Older versions of Windows also have disk-formatting capability in the installation process, and the installation media is either a CD or floppy disk.

  3. Place the installation disk or manufacturer software in the drive and then boot the computer. Early in the installation process, the Windows installer has a step that will detect any installed hard disks and allow for them to be formatted. The software from the disk manufacturer will also detect the hard disk and give you the option to format the drive.

  4. Determine which file system is to be used. Windows XP will either work on a NTFS file system or an older VFAT file system. Choose the desired file system when prompted.

  5. Decide whether the whole disk should be formatted or if the disk will be partitioned and each partition to be formatted separately. The Windows installer includes a menu-driven utility that will create hard disk partitions before formatting. If the hard disk is being formatted to replace an existing Windows installation, delete the existing partitions and re-create them.

  6. Format the hard disk with the Windows installer when prompted. The Windows installer will let you know when it is time to format the disk and ask for confirmation.

this should help you.

New hard drive to install windows sayind

If you have not checked these(I am sure you have probably gone through this or don't need to but just in case)

First thing is first you have installed a new hard disk, is this the only hard disk installed. If Yes, does the bios recognize it? If Yes, is it bootable. Meaning is there a working copy of windows installed? If not reinstall from windows installation disk. If Yes, you may still have to reinstall windows you can use the windows installation disk as well.

This sounds like an issue that I had taking a hard drive from one computer and placing it in a brand new one. This message sounds like windows is damaged. I had to reinstall windows and leave the file system intact. There is an option to do this. If you feel comfortable you can always use a boot disk and check the boot .ini to make sure that it has the correct path for windows written in that may be the issue there. This file is hidden in the root directory of the drive.
