I had my Cobra 29 WX NW ST peaked at a cb shop in New Jersey. Sin ce that time I have not been able to get the weather channels and the weather warning has not worked since either. I am a trucker, so I have tried the wx in almost all 48 and still nothing.
They did not put all the plugs back in from the weather board. Part of what has to be fiddled with is underneath the weather board.
Open the bottom cover where the speaker is, on the right side you will see a board separate from the main board. Look for any plugs unplugged. Its probably one that got over looked.
If there are no plugs out, who ever you took it too may have turned something they should not have. most likely its a plug. Its probably the plug that runs the audio into the radio from the weather board. its working, the audio just isn't getting to the rest of the radio.
there are about 3 or 4 plugs from the weather board to the main board of the radio.
