You must try to use a dead pixel remover from a computer website.Google dead or stuck pixel remover websites and download their programs. Then hook-up your television to the computer as a monitor and try to use the program to remove the burnt image on your television. This may or may not work, if not then you can try Google. Dead image removal for lcd's and find some help there. According to the owners manual this is a non fixable problem and not covered under their warranty so you can try all solutions and hope one may work. Hope this helps you with your problem.
SOURCE: The screen has dark marks on it. Have never used
The wispy dark marks can not be removed. I've seen this problem many times on many models and screen sizes... the only fix is to replace the panel. As for a cause, I can only assume it is caused by deterioration. Perhaps of the polarizer or of the LCD material itself... I don't know. Due to the cost of LCD panels in the repair market, your best option is to use the TV until it can no longer be tolerated... then replace the TV. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

If you are sure its not a stain. then its a dead pixel on your monitor.. sooner or later it will spread out. To be sure if its a dead pixel, run your monitor in different colors, black screen, green, red and blue.. If the spots stays then its dead pixel.. You will be replacing the lcd when time comes that it spreads out.

This is a defective LCD display panel. It will cost as much as a new set unless your still within the 1 year warranty. As far as cleaning the screen, you can use an old t-shirt by spraying a little windex on the shirt and wiping gently up and down or left to right but never in a circular pattern. I found it best to do this after the set has been on for 15 minutes to warm up the surface then shut the set off and give a clean.
