Question about LG RU-42PZ61 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
We subscribe to setanta,on an as and when basis to watch football matches. For the second time, with our new plasma tv the reception - movement is slow motion . Speech is normal. This never happened previously on our old tv set with a separate freeview box. All other channels, reception ok. Please advise, thankyou

Try the free view and see if the box is bad, then if it still does the sane thing, I bet theres a bad connection on the driver IC board, on a connecting ribbon cable, or a bad drive ic. These are things that a user should not attempt to repai, as there are no user replaceable parts inside this set and should be serviced by a train tech. Good Luck

This can be on the matrix drive board, or the display assembly itself. It is possible to also have a defect in the address decoding area that will cause this.
The procedure is to swap out the suspect boards to determine where the fault is, leave the working boards in the set, and then follow up any necessary calibrations that are necessary.

Do a first time installation, move the TV or bite the bullet and either buy an external aerial or extend the main house aerial cable to reach the TV. assuming your TV has no signal where it is now

In the menu go to CC and set the TV to CC1 as this is a text box appearing for captions. Hope this works!
