Question about Toshiba REGZA 47WLG66 47 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

1 Answer

Toshiba 47WL T66

There are verticial lines on the screen in various place but the one in the center is getting wider and looks like some sort off stain on the picture.
these lines are not visible when tv is switched off or in ble screen mode.
lines have been there but very faint since tv purchased in january 2007 and at first there was only two which appeared in the approx position off 4:3 picture.
Have been told it is an inherent fault and that the panel needs to be replaced.

My Sharp flat screen has verticle lines running down the screen in various colors and every once in a while a picture with pop up but then fade away. The capacitors all look fine and i have no idea wh

the lines is the screen its self there is a board that the screen fits to over time it heats up and comes away from the screen and you get lines, you can sometimes push on the screen top to get them back but its only a temp fix you will need to take the screen out and remove the cover and put some shims in place on the screen. this is not a job for the faint hearted as it is a delicate job.

Vertical lines

You have done a replacement to its main board, and power board, I assume. After replacement of main board, there is some critical adjustments should be done. A sort of software update or so. Contact any experienced service technician, or, the authorized service center for Toshiba.

I turned on my toshiba satellite and the screen is lengthened wider how do i fix it?

If you are using Win7, you failed to mention OS, right click the desktop in a open area and click on Personalize, you will find Display settings and , From your statment/question, I don't have much info, If it's your Desktop that's " lengthened wider", look in Desktop Background. I don't know what's on your desktop.

How do i fix the lines on my toshiba satellite laptop l25-s121?

More than likely the screen. The inverter normally causes things on the desktop to be barely visible. The whole screen looks black, but with a flashlight you can see the images are there when the inverter is bad.

Thin and wide white lines on screen

Yes, your screen most likely is going bad, the only other reason for lines and distortion is a loose data cable that runs up the back of the lcd panel on the left side. For the touchpad, go to the control panel > Mouse > look at the top of the window and look for the device properties. open this tab and look for your touchpad listed. Highlight it and click on the settings button. Go through these settings and make sure that tapping is enabled. Even if it is, you may consider updating the drivers for the touchpad.

Vertical line down the center, sound OK.

This is the deal. Your picture tube is going out. How thick is the line. As it gets wider that will tell you how much more time you have. Was the TV dropped? There is a way to adjust this but you have to get into the back of the TV and if the static discharge is not done properly it will kill you. Don't mess with it. It is now cheaper to buy another TV on craigslist or your local paper than trying to repair it. Hope this helps.

Toshiba 52HMX95 DLP has weird gray think line

DLP TVs work projecting light throught a tube covered with mirrors, called the light tunnel.

The gray shadow it is something in the middle of the light tunnel, probably a mirror that has gone out of place when you moved the TV.
