Question about Printers & Copiers
Good morning, I hope you guys can help me, I have 2 companies and no one can find the problem. I have several Canon IR6800's 1 of them is showing an error code of E000008-0001 and the other is showing a code of E000013-0001 and they are both locked up with these codes. Does anyone know what these codes are and how to possibly fix them? I could really use the help.

Most likely, the E013 code is that the waste toner screw in the drum unit is pack with toner and the feed screw has gotten bound up..... It is also refered to as the AP-Unit. .. Checkitright is correct on the problem.... But for that to occur the whole waste toner tube is bound up. It is a very dirty and labor intence job to repair, I hope you have a contract on your copier. Or I hope you are not that attached to it..The problem needs to be repaired before it can be reset
The E0008-001, has nothing to do with the fixing film, it dose not have one & that model dose not use fusing oil, it only has a cleaning web and that will give you a E005. Are you sure on the error code? I did not find anything on it. Have you had a power problem? I saw something about a auto shut off pcb. Did you have this problem before or after a tech was there. The only thing that I can think of is a problem with DC controler or the counter pcb or the reader pcb.... I'll have to get back on you with that info..

The fixing film is off to the side.
A specific number of copies are made after the machine detects that fixing oil is out.
Since a user cannot re-supply fixing oil, the error code is indicated.
Check the fuser, either the film is off to the side or it is torn
or the oil is out (usually silicone oil) needs to be replaced
E013 •The PLL lock is released because waste toner motor is locked up, etc.
•The micro switch employed to detect clogging of waste toner is activated.
•The waste toner case is detected full.
Check the waste toner container, if full empty, other wise the waste toner drive system located on the drum needs to be cleaned out.
