I have an Electrolux front loading washing machine EWF 12832. It constantly has a damp smell and I release approx 1 litre of water from the drain pump filter after every wash.

The water sump on your machine will ALWAYS contain water, as the pump is not built to pump it all away - it needs to be primed with water to work, as it is a centrifugal pump, not a piston pump. So the sump will always have water, plus any water in the waste hose too. Don't bother draining this water every time as it also functions as a trap to prevent sewer smells coming back into the machine. The damp smell is almost certainly a buildup of limescale and wash suds in the tub or soap drawer - looks for black mould in the drawer and clean it thoroughly. In you machine instructions you will find a section on 'maintenance wash' - to remove odours. Once a month, do a boil wash with powder detergent only - to remove undissolved soap. Constant washing at low temp - 40 deg. causes this buildup. You can buy additives to help sterilise the tub when you do this - I personally use a good dose of bleach, but the makers don't recommend this!

2001 Chevy impala started the night before morning it started running rough died it would ed start fuel pump ok try starting it Nothing but smell gas what could be wrong?

if your smelling gas then it sounds like an ignition problem or timing, could be something in the distributor, coil, or plugs worn out. if this has the corvette motor in it with the distributor mounted at the front of the motor behind the water pump they are known for distributor problems.

How to tell if water pump is bad 3800 gm

The 3800's also had other problems. And also Issues for those that are unaware.

Be aware that there are bleeder screws to bleed air out of the system when filling the coolant. With out properly bleeding the system the coolant can Vaporlock in the system causing overheating.

Also if it has been over heated you need to check for a blown head gasket. Smell the antifreeze, if it smells burnt you should be concerned. Next with the engine cold and the system properly bled, leave the radiator cap off and start the engine, if it bubbles constantly or bursts out of the open radiator cap, seek diagnosis at your local repair shop as they have the equipment to do so properly.

I also suggest using an Infrared Thermometer to check temperatures with. if the engine is at 230f and the upper hose is at 200f, and the lower hose is still cool you likely have a clogged radiator. If the upper hose is cool as well then you have a bad water pump or t-stat. if the upper hose slowly warms, and you start to get bubbles then it's likely a water pump with the fins eroded off by electrolysis (gotta change that coolant at regular intervals)

Also make sure the radiator fans turn on.

2001 Montero Sport, 3.0, 4X4: New water pump and thermostat (170 deg). When accelerating from a stop, a (flowing) noise is heard: It is almost a 'trickling' sound, like the sound you hear in a...

if your sure the cooling system is full than i wouldn't be surprised if you had a head gasket that has failed.

This would explain the water noise, and overheating.

With the engine cold remove the radiator cap, start the vehicle and let it idle. continue to monitor the coolant level in the radiator. top it off if it gets low. If you see a constant perculation of air bubbles coming out of the radiator than the head gasket is bad.

Sometimes you can also smell the radiator or the overflow. If it smells like exhaust than the head gasket is leaking.

Our front end loader stinks and we have to leave the door open. We have the exact same problem where I work. How do you get the smell out?

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.
