Question about Dell ResourceCD (2p730)
I can not use my D-drive to install software. It will play a music cd. When I click on D- drive under my computer I get the message, Is not accessible, incorrect funtion. I tried to use my Dell resource CD and it will not run. When I go into my programs and click on Dell resource CD the window opens for repair or un-install. When I click on repair I get the same message. Is not accessible, incorrect function. Where did it go? I need help please.
Try the Resource CD in another computer to see if the CD is bad or your CD drive. Also check to see if the Resource disk is in CD or DVD format. If you need software drivers for your computer, you can also go to Dell’s website and download them. Go to www.support.dell.com and select "I'm looking for drivers and downloads". If you don't have the proper version of Adobe you will be prompted to install it. Once installed return to "drivers and downloads" and enter the "service tag", (serial number) of the computer. Dell keeps a listing of drivers for every customer's computer they sell.
