i hope thats whats wrong with mine.. it just shut off after watching it.. its about 2 years old and i found 2 blown fuses... but don't know where to get the t8ah 250volt.

  • mrsirimage Jan 26, 2009

I search for a while and finally found the fuses at Allied Electronics, 7151 Jack Newell Blvd. S., Fort Worth, TX 76118. I went to www.alliedelectonics.com and then got an 800 number to call. The fuses are quite costly, around $8 each. After I put in the fuses I did need to have something else repaired on the set. Upon putting in the fuses, the power indicator blinked off and on but the set remained off. Apparently the rate of the blink is a code that an authorised shop can diagnose from and make further repairs.

Hopefully your fuses are the only problem.

I'm having the exact same problem. My Panasonic 42 inch TH-42PX60U just turned off while I was watching TV. I removed the fuses (both were blown) and replaced them and am now getting the red light that blinks ten times.

What should I do now???

Thanks!

This is Nebster again. If you have a schematic with your manual, it should show a board that connects to the power inlet(power cord from the wall). This board has two fuses. Usually one fuse blows and you get the red blinking lights. The problem is normally not the fuse, it is there to protect the rest of the board. There is a component on the board that has failed. You would have to replace this Board! If your schematic has the board number on it, I could better Identify it for you. If not, Remove the back panel from your tv and it would be the light tan colored board in the mid-upper right of the tv as you face it from the rear. I hope this helps. If not and you wish to talk directly to me, send me a way to speak directly to you.

My pleasure to help,
Nebster

    Nebster.

Both fuses blew. I put 2 new fuses in. And know i get the linking 10 lights.   After reading your post you say to replace the board that has the 2 fuses.  i will have to look at my service repair manual, but on the service repair manual it says to replace the pa board and h board. if its blinking 10 times.   I don't think those are the board with the two fuses.   I just want to try to get the correct board the first time instead of spending a ton of money on boards.   Did you have the same problem with yours, and it was the 2 fuse board that needed to be fixed?   They don't keep blowing the fuses, just did it once, and when i put the 2 new fuses in it blinks 10 times.   If you can call me directly at 860*982*7284 that would be GREAT!  Thanks... Mike.

Removed the back of the set (about 30 screws) and located fuses right near the power cord input. There are two, both are T8AH 250 volt. One was bad one was good. Replaced and all is well.

I have a TH-42px600u & there is no power going to it, the power cord is working, but the Tv is getting now power. Is there a fuse I should replace or a reset button? Help PLXX!

Of Course there is a fuse at its main power regulator board. but, you must have sound knowledge in electronics, to replace it, especially to Plasma displays. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. If you have confidence, follow. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

Panasonic th-42px600u high pitch sound

likely a coil or small transformer in the set is vibrating hard enough to make it squeel, it would have to be located with back off by listening to see where it comes from.

cure would be to replace the entire board it is on or hot glue the part that is causing this to dampen the sound.

If it is coming from the front screen unit that is a more serious issue.

I turn on my Panasonic TH-42PD60U Television - red LED blinks and there is a clicking noise but TV doesn't turn on.

Panasonic plasmas are notorious for their power board problems.

I can't know which one of the few possibilities yours might have, but at the very least it is worth checking against the most common ones(s):

http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/54/repair-kit-for-panasonic-th-42px60u-panasonic-th-42px600u-and-panasonic-th-42pd60u

Read the listing, get a multimeter and check the described components for short or open (in case of a fuse) and if it matches then that's the problem and that's the solution.

For in-depth troubleshooting help consider using www.coppelltvrepair.com/diagnose - it's free to ask, but we may not always be able or willing to help and when we do we'll typically put a price on a consultation.

I have a Panasonic TH-42PX600U and the RF board displays a red light and the screen says no channel found. Can I change the board myself, does it just snap into place

if you have the right tools then you can do it, make sure unplug the tv unit first while replacing the board. then mark or put a label to the connector that you were disconnect not to interchange that can cause of damage to the other board.

Inside screen broke,is it a big job and whats the cost for a screen...42" plasma

It costs more to replace the screen than it does to buy a new one. It will require a complete dissassembly of the tv to replace the screen. Not worth it.

How to setup picture in picture function on my tv. panasonic viera 42-px600u

This is controlled by the Split and Swap buttons on the remote; the size of the second picture can be adjusted with the Aspect button. First press split and use the Input button to select the source of the right picture of the split screen (TV channel or video inputs). Then press Swap and use the input button to select the source of the second screen. Swap again if desired or press Aspect to change the size of the main screen window. However, it is not available if you are using the HDMI, PC and SD Card viewing mode. Since the TV doesn't have dual digital tuners, you can't watch two different digital channels on the split screen.

The manual for the Panasonic TH-42PX600U is available from from Panasonic here: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/Plasma-HDTVs/model.TH-42PX600U . See page 18 of the manual, page 10 of the PDF.

I hope this helps.

No power

I would guess it's the power unit for the TV itself.

If it's still under guarantee I would have thought you should be able to get it replaced.

Does model th-c42hd18 require only a panasocin wall mount bracket. Seems others do not work

I am not familar with your exact model but my Panasonic TH-42PX600U 42 in. Plasma uses a generic brand wall mount. The first mount I bought would not fit so I returned it and bought a different brand which worked well. Start shopping your local stores (even walmart has a couple of different types to choose from), carefully open the packaging in case you need to return it and see if it will fit the mounting holes on the back of your TV. If it fits on the back of the TV then you should be good to go.
