Sir, How should I install Turbo C ++ 4.5 Version or any other latest version on my Dell Lap Top Intel Core i5-460M processor WIN 7HP

Hi, welcome to FixYa!

First, I strongly don't recommend you to install Turbo C++ 4.5. It's very outdated, and most likely failed to run on new operating system. If you are going to learn programming using C++, I recommend you to try the Microsoft Visual Studio Express. It's free and very compatible to the newest operating system.

Download this file to get the latest Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2010 CD:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/E/5/1E5F1C0A-0D5B-426A-A603-1798B951DDAE/VS2010Express1.iso

You can either burn this ISO using any image burner or emulate using any software emulation.

After you have successfully installed the Visual Studio Express 2010, remember to register to the Micorosft site to get the registration key to unlock the day time limit. The registration is free.

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

Turbo c not working....16 bit ms-dos subsystem error

There have been several changes in the way programs work. Windows xp does not
allow direct access to hardware resources to protect system integrity.
However you can try a few things

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314106
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=165214
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324767

Generaly speaking this error shows up when a program tries to use a
command.com file from an incompatible version of windows.

Alternatively login in safemode and use. it ll work fine. rate this!!

Turbo c++ in vista

Step 1: Open TC++ (normally C:\TC\BIN\TC.EXE). In the startup it will show a dialogue box that it
doesn’t support full screen mode as seen in the picture below.
Just select ignore option. Then it will open the small screen mode

Step 2: Go to the top left of the window and click. It will show a menu as shown in the figure.
Then select properties from the menu

Step 3: Now it will show the properties window, in which you select the Font tab.
There you can see two font options as Raster and Lucida Console. The default will be Raster.
You select Lucida Console and select the size from the size list as 28.

Step 4: After selecting the fonts, now you have to select the layout tab where you can see
screen buffer size, window size, and window position options.
First unselect the “Let system position window” option from window position options.
Now make the following changes:

Screen Buffer Size: Width: 82 Height: 28
Window Size: Width: 80 Height: 26
Window Position: Left: -4 Top: -4

OK

ABOUT TURBO C++

Vista doesn't support full screen mode while operating Turbo C++,
and its also doesn't support graphics(bgi) while operating it.
There are lots of compatibility problems with Vista --
I have Vista Home Premium and have warning when I start VC++ 2005 Express!
I just tried running tc.exe and did not get the warning message you reported.
Although it would only run in the small window.
Your best bet is to download either VC++ 2005 Express or Dev-C++.
They both run full-screen.
