Re: medion 2310 laptop switches off as soon as charger is...
1. It can be a screw loose inside the unit shorting something out. 2. The AC Port is damaged and needs to be re soldered. 3. Bad motherboard.
I've seen this be a bad motherboard more than not, however it has been the other 2 options from time to time. Most likely need to take it apart and you can see if it's the first 2 and if not than your board is bad.

Your best bet is to hope it goes up in flames then you can claim off your insurance, the problem can't be fixed.
I have the same machine but with mine it got hot and the graphics processor has burnt out, it seems to be common with this model.
I can't even connect to an external monitor as everything to do with the VGA is fried and Medion support are useless.
I'll never buy a Medion again even though my previous two going back 8 years still work if somewhat slow.
Firstly you will need to have all the drivers you need for whichever operating system you are using and copy them to CD. Download from http://www.medion.co.uk/ Now you need your windows CD start laptop with cd in and you'll get a message saying press any key to boot from CD/DVD. Now just follow instructions to format and reinstall operating system. Now in stall all your drivers and laptop should be working like brand new
it sounds like there is a short on your motherboard.your graphics card might be bad.or lcd screen.when you hook up a external monitor do you wait till everything is booted.wait 5 min then hook up the crt monitor.hold down fn then the button with the monitors.if none of this works then your graphics card is going bad.if it keeps restarting then there is a chipset problem or a short.best bet is to get a new laptop.save the harddrive and the ram,cd player, battery.you can sell these or buy the same type of laptop.and use these parts.
hi..go and try to find the (Control Panel) then double click the icon of name is (Network Connections) then find the wireless LAN connection..if you have wireless connection u need configuration..if not no have wireless connection you need re-install the LAN card driver..Thanks and good luck..^_^
I could not find a breakdown for you laptop. But from a picture I saw on the web, I could tell you that it is probably the same as most laptop. First, there are screws under the round inserts. You need to pry those up and stick the aside ,in order to put them back when you finish.
Then remove the screws, usually 4 on each corner of the screen. Some laptops have 2 screws on top of the screen near the latch.
Then you need to pry the front bezel off the screen. You can use a small straight screw driver. Carefully (as not to scratch the case) insert the screw driver and pry the bezel away from the back casing of the LCD.
Once you have the bezel off you will see the screws that hold the actual LCD screen in, remove them and lift the LCD out. You will have to un-hook the cable from the System board to get the screen completely out. Then install the new screen. Please remember to rate all users who assist you for free :)
