Can't change channels on Samsung LT-P1545

The channel stays on the one I watched last- I can't change channels at all. The remote won't do it and neither will the panel channel control. I am wondering if the tuner is broken and what to do about it.

I have the same problem and tried these solutions including the control board swap with a working set. Same problem remains.

First try and unplug the tv for 30 min. Then try it. If this does not fix it, go into your menu and reprogram the channels. You will find auto program in the setup or install part of the menu. It should work from there. If not, the control board is bad. You or a repair shop will need to replace it.

I have a visco TV and I cannot get it off of channel 1. The remote does not work so I bought a universal remote but it still won't work. I tried to codes for NEC and Polariod as suggested by others,...

There should be channel buttons on the TV itself, try using those. Also, you may want to try changing the input from the Cable Box.
I am curious as to why the remotes don't work. Also, how did it get onto channel one. Did you get the TV used?
Here is a link to the AV Science Forum. It seems other people have challenges with this TV as well.

I have an shd-3010 with the remote and the channel button doesn't work nor do the buttons to change the station on the remote. Yet the power button works as does the volume buttons

Here is the solution. I have had this problem for 2 or 3 YEARS... (I finally gave up and just changed the channel manually).

The solution is exceedingly simple. You'll want to punch yourself (or at least, I did... :-P )

Press Menu. Press Menu. Press Menu (3 times total)
THEN, scroll down to "Channel Fix"

It will say either "3" or "4." What this does is it makes it so that your HDTV is always on channel 3 (or 4) when you turn on the device... AND it apparently disables the channel functions of the remote control, for some inexplicable reason.

All you have to do is change this setting from "3" or "4" to --> "OFF"

You will now have full channel and button control.

Enjoy! <(^_^<)(^'.'^)(>^_^)>

You need to go into the menu and program the tv. You will find "auto program" somewhere in the menu. Try in the setup part of the menu or install area.
