Question about Lucent AT&T 960 Corded Phone

Display issue A number of time when we get an incoming call the display on the phone starts blinking with what looks like squares. In order to fix I need to disconnect the power from the phone, remove the batteries, put them back in and then reconnect power. What can be causing this and is there another way to correct?

I have nothing to add, except that my problem is exactly the same and my process to reset it is the same. I've had this issue for years, and it has nothing to do (as far as I can tell) with battery charge level. I have two of these phones and it happens to both of them, but not at the same time in the same household, and connected to the same line.

This happens on our AT&T 962 & Lucent 965 telephones. The phones don't all do it at the same time and the only way to clear the trouble is to unplug the telephone, remove the batteries and then put everything back together again.

When a call comes in, it shows my number

Is this happening just to you or are other employees experiencing the same issue? - it's nothing you did - These days it is very easy to "SPOOF" the calling party number to display whatever the caller wants it to display. If it's occurring on all of your incoming calls then contact your PBX system support person/company.

Some Panasonic cordless phones come with up to five handsets each will need to be properly adjusted. You may need to set the main handset to synchronize with the base unit plugged into the telephone wall jack and assign special configuration numbers to the other handsets in order to properly identify each one within a specified location. One handset left in the turned on mode may make it impossible to place calls with the any of the other handsets. This will continue until either the battery dies or fails on the handset or the phone is switched off and replaced in its charger for charging again. Synchronize the main handset by pressing the MENU button on the handset, then pressing the down button IN order to select the number you wish to assign to that handset. Repeating this process if you have already done so will greatly decrease the level of errors experienced with panasonic phones MORE USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ALL YOUR ELECTRONICS When troubleshooting these units, there are always several variables to consider. First check to see what last occurred with the unit such as did the children play video games, did the electricity go out due to bad weather. You may see that there are many possibilities but let's focus on what occurred last to the unit. Once we determine what happened last, we may isolate the actual cause of the problem. The actual cause may be associated with projection issues, older versions (Picture tube), interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common with the error you have provided today. Please continue to look for anything EXTERNAL to the unit before looking at the internal components. I have been working on these a long time so feel free to follow up with me.

Incoming calls: When we receive an incoming call,

Extension call forwarding is controlled by a timer, and they put these things in the manual. If your CF after 2 rings is from a call to a specific extension, from that extension, dial *713 and a 2 digit number from 00-99 seconds on the intercom. Start with 18.

If your call forwarding is from intercept, then you have a system programming issue and need to look in the installer's manual or check with your system programmer.

How to recieve a fax on the Canon PIXMA MX340 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer

Take your incoming phone line and plug it into the place that says "line" on your fax machine. Plug another phone cord into where it says "phone" and connect this to your telephone. Test to make sure you have chosen the right places by dialing a phone number to fax to and listen for the dial tone. If you get a dial tone, then you have set it up correctly.

On the fax machine look for the button that says "menu". Push it and use the up and down arrows to navigate the options on the display. Look for fax set up and press "ok" or "enter" on the fax machines keyboard to access this area. Look for "number of rings" and change the fax machine to a number of rings that is less then your voice mail box if you have one. Then close and save your choices.

Have someone send a test fax by dialing your phone number for the line connected to the machine. The fax machine will pick up on the number of rings set and automatically begin receiving and printing a copy of your incoming fax.

You cannot use magic jack.

You can also choose to manually answer an incoming fax if you see that your display on the fax machine says "ringing" or incoming" you can push the "start" button and this will start receiving your incoming fax.

How get do I get my incoming phone numbers to be displayed

Most phones will only do what you require if the contacts are stored on the phones memory instead of the SIM memory. This will also prevent you from assigning photos to contacts and one touch speed dials (i.e. press and hold a number to dial a stored number) Try copying all your contacts to the phones memory. If you see duplicate names, go into phone book settings and adjust setting for phone just to look at phones memory and this will stop duplicates being shown. hope that helps?

Mobile is glowing for every incoming message/incoming call

You haven't said about your mobile model.

Moreover, these blinking will come when you keep your mobile in silent/vibrating mode.

Anyways, if you are getting disturbed by the blinking of the display in the nights, then keep your mobile upside down.

Lost the time and date line in the display

Unplug the phone, wait one minute, then plug it back in and see if the display comes back on. Press the program button, press 22 on the dial pad, press program button again ( if the phone is ringing on the incoming call and not just flashing).
