Check your sleep timer settings. they stay on no matter how much you turn your unit on and off.

I have a Sony sound bar mod# sa-32se1 connected to my Sony 32 in bravos, sounds great but shuts down after a few minutes of use what might be the problem

I had the same problem. I found that my sound bar can't be too close to the TV. I have my samsung TV on a platform ( not mounted) and the sound bar in front of it. In this configuration, the sound bar kept shutting off. I returned it as a faulty unit and the second one did the same thing. By chance I happened to move the sound bar off of the tv platform and the problem ceased.

Not detect

This is a great card and I use one myself!

Most important- shut down and pull the card.

Second- reboot, and remove the references to the card from your control panel.

Third- shut down again, and after a clean reboot, where you are certain the that you have removed the drivers from your system by checking the control panel, insert your driver CD and follow the instructions. If it does not autostart, go to START>RUN>(CD or DVD driveletter)setup.exe.

When the files are done installing, shut down your computer, and install the card.

When you restart, you should get the FOUND NEW DEVICE prompt- follow the instructions, and you will be good to go!

My computer keeps on saying that a usb device not recognized. i havent connected any device to my computer. how can i fix it? tnx a lot..

First simply try turning off your computer then unplug your computer from the "power supply".
Wait 15 - 30 minutes and then plug it back in and restart. If that doesn't work....

1. Click Start, Control Panel, and then Performance and Maintenance.
2. Double-click the System icon.
3. Click the Hardware tab and then Device Manager.
4. Double-click Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Uninstall the USB ports from here. To do so, right-click the USB controllers that are listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers and click uninstall.

Hope this helps

I am trying to make my vhs's into dvd's. I capture then edit and when on final maker part it keeps telling me my dvd isnt big enough. I am using dual layer dvd's and no matter how I try to copy it says its...

How big does "Final Maker" say that the file is?
An ordinary DVD holds 4.7 GB, and a dual-layer DVD holds double that.

Unable to find the IR Universal Code for the NextVision Processor

It depends on the remote. There is different codes for different remotes so what remote do you have?

Magnavox converter box TB110MW9 shuts off repeatedly

Looks like you got a bad converter. I have the same kind and it is a pain that you can't use the remote to also control the TV. It will turn itself off after 2 hours by itself if you do not change the options, but the symptoms you describe are beyond consumer repair.

Do you still have the manual? There is a toll free number to contact them and ask for a replacement. If you do not have it I can provide it tomorrow. (I am not at home right now.) Of course you can only get one of the same converters.

Thanks for using Fixya.

NO channels now, we had some before!!!!!

Here is how you should have it connected.
1- Antenna (rabbit ears or whatever)
2- Converter box
3- Television

When you turn on the TV and the converter box, go to channel 3 on the TV. You should see the converter box signal there. If you do not see it try channel 4. Bring up the convert box menu and go through the AUTO SEARCH, not manual search. Now your box will search all the frequencies and add any stations that are in your area. Make sure you change channels with the converter box, not the tv. An antenna on the roof will still provide somewhat better range, but even rabbit ears will likely pick up something. If you still get no channels you could be too far away, digital signals have a shorter range than analog signals. You can check your local TV stations website or call to see if they are broadcasting digital yet.

Phillips tv

Are you connected using R,G,B (component) cables? Check them to make sure they are in firmly - if so, then try a new set - that may very well fix the rolling issue. (Unless the rolling is caused by poor antenna reception).

Press "Sleep" on the original remote control for this TV if you still have it until the TV says "Sleep OFF".

If no strong TV signal is detected, this unit goes into sleep mode, which may explain Tuner B shutting off after 5 minutes.

Shuts off every 5 minutes after being turned on...

Well, I actually figured out what was wrong with mine.  It was actually my hard drive which was causing the reboot. It was still under warranty, so I had it replaced.
