Re: sStandby buton dosent work
I had a similar problem it sounds like your power module is corrupt, the only thing I can recommend is that you either do a system file check, just go to start -> Run -> cmd and type in sfc scannow in the dosprompt and see if that fixes it, if not you might have to run system restore cd or just reinstall alltogether.

the infra red i dont know anything about, sorry. the power settings, most of the time are in control pannel .
if you haven't already solved your problem, try going thru
'control pannel', then ' performance & maintenance',
then 'power options'. anyway, thats where mine are located so maybe you'll get lucky and solve one issue. good luck!
change the setting in power options so that the system runs off battery and not ac power. the power options are in the control panell. usually some where in the system folder. depending on the opperating system. search threw your control pannel setting for power settings or something more similar to that. sorry i couldnt be of more assistance to you
go to the control pannel >sounds and audio devices > under the device volume click on advanced > and than the play control will open > click on option and than click on properties in the list there is an option that says microphone make sure it has a chk mark and if it doesnt have it put it there and than restart the system and than chk it
