Hi, I have a similar problem in that we have been given a Casio CE-3700 cash register and we just get error messages all the time. From reading your replies to other problems, I think this is a battery problem. We don't have a manual, so need to know where the battery is located please? I cannot find any diagrams or such on the net to help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help. I haven't had a chance yet to try these solutions out, have been off work for a while. Will let you know what happens. Again, thanks so much. Cheers, Heather :)

These machines are really good machines. However they need good power as well. Depending on how long the machine has been used you may have a bad battery . But right now it needs the mac code

12001 sub

then wait for the machine to cycle and after its been plugged in for about 2 days unplug it let it set for a couple of hours and see if it comes back if its still there the battery is probably fine.

Hi.
It sounds like this machine has a faulty battery. If the problem happened after a power cut, or the machine was stored, then this problem can occur. You will need to fully reset the RAM and start again. I wouldn't advise this until you have changed the battery. If you want to do it yourself, contact a Casio dealer and order a battery for it. Then open the register and plug the new battery in and get back to me. I can help you to clear it and recover the decimal places.

Hi how can i change decimal places in casio cash register ce-4700

It's set when you initialise the register and enter the country information. Use the table in the dealer manual. If you need the manual, one of the users has it here:

MY CASIO CE-3700 CASH REGISTER SAYS E33 WHEN IT IS TURNED ON. How do I correct

Hi Josie. E33 means you have not entered amount tendered.

turn key to REG
Press SUBTOTAL
An amount should show on the display. Note this amount.
Type the amount shown on the display with no decimal e.g if display shows 12.30, type 1230.
Press CASH
Drawer should open.

If you cannot clear the error (try the clear button C) or no amount shows when you press SUBTOTAL, it probably means the memory has become corrupted due to a flat or faulty battery.

Casio ce-3700 showing some percentages on it's reading.how take that out?

Which percentages? Which reading? You will need to be more specific. If it is part of the daily report, the user manual should be able to show you what they mean. If you need more information, the Casio CE-3700 manuals are here:

Have a ce-3700 raized keyboard the till resets and can set date and time but the departments won't work one needs to open the department so that ne can work the till how

If you have performed a RAM (MAC) clear, then the departments should work as soon as the MAC code has been set. Make sure you aren't using a decimal point for prices. -----------------------------------------------------------

I have casio ce-3700 cash register and i have problem E04 and noies come beep any one help me plz.

This is caused by incomplete initialisation. it means the program may be corrupt from being unplugged for too long, or you may have a bad battery inside the machine (change it every five years).
Firstly, try a flag clear to jump it back to REG mode:
Turn power off at wall Turn key to program position Hold down RECEIPT FEED button. Keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED Press SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. If the programming is corrupt, you will often see the decimal point in the wrong place.
If you want to re-program it, there is a manual for the CE-3700 here:

From the manual:

SETTING THE NUMBER OF DECIMAL DIGITS
Numbers of decimal digits of calculation results can be specified by pressing [C-CE] twice, then press [C-CE]and [M+] simultaneously.
The decimal digit assignment will appear as “F” (for “floating point”), “2” or “0” on the LCD. (The default is “F”.)
Press and hold [C-CE] and [M+] until the symbol changes.

I found the service manual here:

ftp://ftp.totalpos.co.nz/Oldmanuals/Casio-CE3700.pdf

It is New Zealand, and the file is a little over 3 MB. If you have a problem, contact me and I can email it to you.

It has a section on programming the CE-3700.
